First, let me say I have been ordering from Amicos for about 6 months. I usually order once a week or once every two weeks. I live in the gayborhood, so anytime my friends come over I recommend Amicos and when I am at their place, I do the same. However, this last time was a disaster. The company has a special of two large, one toppings for $14. This is the same thing I order each time, as it works perfectly. I ordered the same this week, only to be charged double. I called the office to let them know, thinking they were going to be as nice as usual, but found that they are only nice if you never complain. I told the guy what happened, and he told me it was my fault for not knowing how to order. I advised I did my order the same as usual, and he said 'ill credit your card' and hung up on me. To this day, no credit (though the charge AND $5 tip has already gone through). Never again will I order from them. I am disputing the charge and telling all of my friends of the bad experience.

I am new in town and saw the mixed reviews on this pizza place so I thought I would give it a try. I thought it was pretty good. For a pizza delivery place right around the corner from my house in oaklawn I was impressed. The pizza was hot, the pizza had fantastic sauce and I loved the italian sasauge . The mushrooms were just ok, but all in all a great value and pizza.

We had ordered from this place a couple of months ago. It took an hour to get here. The driver was very polite and apologetic for the delay. The pizza was cold but the temperature was NOT the problem. I mean I have been known to eat some cold pizza, often. This pizza was not edible. We threw it out after a couple of bites, swearing to never order it again. Well, last night we went to watch the game at another couples house and they told us they were thinking of ordering from this place to try something new. We offered to pay for whatever everyone wanted as long as it WAS NOT this place. The other guests and the hosts laughed at us and told us we were being overdramatic. Everyone wanted to support a local non-chain place. Long story short, now there are about 6 more people who will never eat pizza from here again. The good reviews HAVE to be the owners and their friends and family. FREE DELIVERY?who cares. It took an hour. Pick up? Still nasty.

I called in mine for pickup. Did not see any drag queens ( too bad) and drove directly home with my pizza and it was surprisingly warm :) . It seems like the reviews here ARE mixed on more than just pizza ha ha. I liked the pizza and I think I will have it delivered next time to save money on gas. Good for pick up or delivery, not good to sit at ( this is JUST a pick up and delivery place)

After getting through the employees hanging out outside smoking, how gross, I found out why they weren't working. Absolutely the worst Lasagna ever. Lasagna is more than noodles with red sauce. DOH! Would love to know when the garlic bread had been made. Garlic bread should not be hard enough to drive nails. Do yourself a favor and go to Jack in the Box, they can't even make food as bad as this.

I went into the store and was placing an order when a drag queen came in. I was immediately ignored and all attention went to the drag queen. Upon arriving home my wife said she would just call in an order and we wouldn't have to deal with the in-store drama. Pizza was not even warm. Horrid horrid pizza. Even Dominos is better. Wow!

I have heard mixed reviews on this place. I ordered with an open mind. I have to say, I will never order from this place again. The pizza was terrible. I ate one piece and ended up throwing the rest of it out. The previous reviewers seem to be very impressed about free delivery. Big whoop. Almost every pizza place has free delivery, especially if they are a delivery/takeout place only.

We stayed in last night and ordered from this pizza place. The pizza IS good! I was also a little leary about ordering crab claws at a pizza place, but they were fantastic too! Sometimes you wonder with reviews if these are for real. let me tell you, you just have to try it for yourself. They had free delivery, great pizza and crab claws ( a nice change from pizza and wings) . They are in Oaklawn and will deliver outside of the regular range if the order is big enough, so give them a call first, or you can just pick up.

Love the italian food. The Meatballs at this take out are better than the rest of the oaklawn choices. I give it a two thumbs up

I had a pizza delivered to my office yesterday in oaklawn because I wanted to see for myself why someone would go out of their way to say what the last review said. I have to disagree with the last review. This was hands down the best pizza I have had in Dallas. The crust was thin and tasty, the sauce very close to a campisi sauce and the toppings plentiful. Maybe someone got their feelings hurt ? I have reviewed many many places in dallas, so you can choose who to trust. One bitter pizza eater, on one big pizza loving person :) I say two thumbs up for amicos pizza. PS the driver wascute too .

This might have been the most horrible pizza I have ever eaten. I would have rather eaten a generic 99 cent frozen pizza from the grocery store.

What a great deal either way tho. We ordered a combo ( large) and picked it up. It was one of the best pizzas I have ever had! Too bad I didn't see this coupon for a free medium pizza first! They told me they would deliver for free also, so now I have a coupon for a free pizza AND free delivery for ( What I think) is the best pizza in Dallas! This will be MY choice fo rthe superbowl pizza order!

We apparently ordered from or went to two different pizza places. They should not tout the Campsi name if they can not offer Campsi quality pizza. The pizza we ordered was so horrible we threw it out after a few bites. The cheese had an odd texture and taste as did the mushrooms. I would try it again, but the reviewers would have to be more believable as customers rather than friends and family of the owners.

Oh my goodness! You have GOT to try this location! It is locally owned and run by one of the Campisi family members and his pizza is amazing! I have had allot of pizza in my time and this is hands down the best pizza I have had not only in Dallas and Oaklawn but in the Metroplex! If you are looking for an amazing pizza or Italian pasta dish call this location on cedar springs. They have fantastic lunch specials as well in Oaklawn and they deliver! best pizza, best pasta, best owner of a pizza place in Oaklawn AND dallas!

What a great lunch special! For $4.95 I got spaghetti and meatballs, a salad and garlic bread. Granted this is not a fancy place, but foer the price, quality of italian food and oaklawn pizza location, it's a steal! Usually lunch specials are just to bring you in so you will order something better than the lunch special, but this pizza and pasta place actually changes the lunch menu every day so you will come for the special! What a concept. This privatly owned pizza place is out to help everybody! Give him you business if you want a good italian dish at a great price. Blue plate special on a dime for sure!
