ALL THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ARE GOLD-ALL TRUE! THE FOLKS WHO USED THE AGENCY FOR SHORT-TERM STEPPING-STONE---WE UNDERSTAND! BUT THIS AGENCY NEEDS TO BE VANQUISHED FROM THE UNITED STATES-THEY ABSORBED DISHONEST AGENCIES AND ALLOWED THE FRAUD, MEANNESS AND DECEPTION TO CONTINUE---THEY ARE NOT PROVIDING A STRESS-FREE WORKPLACE, OR REAL SECURITY, OR A DEVELOPING CAREER. THROW THEM OUT-BOYCOTT THEIR CLIENTS, AND SPEAK OUT AGAINST THEM! ALL FORMER LONG-TERM GUARDS SUPPORT YOU-HANDS DOWN! ALLIED/BARTON AND WACKENHUT ARE ALSO ABUSERS-AND SEEM TO RUIN GUARD'S ABILITIES TO WORK IN CAREERS AND ALLOW GOD-AWFUL WORK ETHICS! THE CLIENTS ARE OFTEN CORRUPT AND JACK-DOWN ON THE GUARDS BECAUSE THEY ARE WISE TO THE CRAP! AND,OF COURSE, THEY DON'T PAT A LIVABLE WAGE!

Securitas is the worst security agency you can possibly work for, I used them only as a means to complete school. However, when I started with them I was told about week later that the position was temporary but would in fact would become permanent due to the fact that a pending large contracting project with Halliburton would develop. I was the best employee you could possibly be, I followed my post orders to the letter and I never once reported late, I never complained about anything. There was an older black female loading dock sargeant who would actually cursed out anybody that made her mad, especially contractors. She would boast about being with Securitas for over twenty years (over twenty years and only made about $12 to $13 phr.) she would plot on who she would like to see fired next and use her twenty year clout to make it happen. Behind the white employees back she would say ugly things about their race and about them. There were two other sargeants and she would comment on h... Read more

I HAVE WRITTEN EXTENSIVELY ABOUT OLD SECURITAS SECURITY-I WAS A BIG PRODUCER AS SUPERVISOR, DISPATCHER, AND INSIDER WITH WELLS FARGO-BURNS-PINKERTON-BEFORE SECURITAS DECIDED TO KILL OFF THESE COMPETITIVE SMALLER AGENCIES, AND TRIED TO FOLLOW THE WACKENHUT SPOOKS INTO INFAMY AND CORRUPTION. THEY FOOL NO ONE-AND HARM EVERYONE. ALL THESE AGENCIES NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN BY NON-PARTICIPATION, STRIKE, AND UNION MEMBERS TAKING COMMAND OF THE RANK-AND-FILE IN THE INDUSTRY. EVEN FOR PART-TIME JOBS---NEEDS TO BE STRESS-FREE, WELL TRAINED, AND A HAPPY PLACE TO WORK. WE OLD TIME GUARDS WANT THESE AGENCIES "DEAD-AND-GONE". ALONG WITH THEIR HAPLESS AND MEAN-SPIRITED AND ARROGANT MIDDLE-MANAGERS! THE CLIENTS NEED TO PAY THE PRICE WE DICTATE, AFTER OUT EXPANDED TRAINING, AND KEEP OUT OF OUR BUSINESS---QUIT SABATOGING GUARDS WITH ANONYMOUS TIPS TO "WEASELING LITTLE OFFICE MANAGERS" WHO STUFF FILES AND THEN "WHISTLE AND ROLL THEIR EYEBALLS" IN THEIR PATHETIC EMPTY HEADS! IF IT DON'T COMPRIMISE THEIR PAYCH... Read more

Some interesting comments here and yes, some don't understand how the system works. If you look at the economy, you will understand why we get paid so little. They charge for the branch office, insurance, etc. but if the client does not want to pay $20/hr for a guard, he does not pay it. I believe, from some of the comments I've read here that there are some good branches and good people working for Securitas, I believe Ontario, CA is one as I've met some of the guards and they don't seem to have any complaints. However, the Temecula, CA branch is a bad as any I've read about here. You have a scheduler (Nicole), who can't come up with a workable schedule after 3 trys and it's 10:30PM Thursday night. It is your responsibility to call in and find out your schedule, 4 times a night if necessary. Someone mentioned only one uniform for a month, trust me, it gets worse. Call offs are a problem there, at least 2 per week so there is plenty of time and a half pay if you want it. Lot's of ba... Read more

Securitas Canada was the WORSE company I EVER worked for!!! I am a Police Technologies graduate and have allot of experience working for the Government, but wanted to get closer to my area of study. When I went in for the interview, the "Guy" was very impressed with me and said he could place right from the start as a site supervisor. BUT first I had to complete their 2 WEEKS -NOT PAID- training. I hesitated, but thought, it could be an investment. That was just the beginning. He told me I had to pay 80$$ for my Guard Licence, and that on every paycheck, Securitas would pay it back. Then, the licence was sent to SECURITAS and not me. Securitas claims to not have recieved it and I have to pay another 10$$ for a replacement. He tells me: "Would you work for 12$ an hour??" I said, ok, if there will be increases. The uniform was supposed to be no-cost for us. I go through 2 weeks of training. No money. Then finally after 4 weeks of waiting for my licence(because of the replacement), it c... Read more

I worked for Securitas for about 6 months. The job was a God send to me. I was out of cash and not able to find a job in my profession. I really was down to almost zero dollars and was on the verge of getting kicked out of my apartment. The people in the main office were always friendly and professional. I kept track of my hours carefully and there were always minor problems which they took care of right away. They gave me all the hours I could take, which was great. Sometime 60 to 76 hours a week. I needed the money. Many of the people complaining here do not realize that the first few months will always be tough. It's the nature of the job. This is industry flooded with non-skilled people who believe that everything wrong in their life is because of their job. My suggestion is seek a job else where. If you stay with Securitas and develop a reputation for not being a cry baby, do your job well, be on time always and be polite, Securitas will reward you with higher pay and more oppor... Read more

Seuritas is the worst company in the World. I worked for them for along time. I have seen sexual Harrasment peoples coffee being pee into. other security officer stealing other guards Flashlight and hancuffs. No breaks and equipment falling apart. There bike patrols have no breaks. Though they just lost a classaction Lawsuit in California for 15 Million and know there is another class action lawsuit in Ohio and in New York

They call you, and force you to be in a store, after 40 minutes, 25 miles away, only to cover 4-hour shift, because the dam guard failed to show up. If you refuse to go, you go on the back of the list. That means to be lucky to get 55 hours per week pay. OK, you arrive there, report for duty, and after 5 minutes the Dam Guard is showing up. After a short conversation the Securitas Supervisor tell you GO HOME, no pay. You spent one-hour drive, with your car, pay for gasoline, for amortization of you car, and they give you nothing. Next day you go to your site, and people of client looks at you in a strange way like you are coming from Andromeda Galaxy. The reason is the Securitas lost this assignment and failed to notify you. Now you have no more hours and prepare to file for unemployment benefits. No, they promise you to give hours. How. You must stay at home near the phone 24/7 to wait for a call that may give you 4, 6 or 8 hours. Now they are using you as a prostitute, to patch up ho... Read more

After reading some of the very colorful reviews here, I would have to say a couple of things... First let me say I was a supervisor for Securitas and that I was put at a post that was failing quickly. Inside of a few months, the post had turned around and the client was happy with the company again... Now for the other stuff... 1st) I totally agree that Securitas is terrible as an employer. They do focus on a single mistake more than on the overall performace of an employee. They tie the hands of their supervisors and then hold the supervisor responsible when things fall apart. The management over the supervisors at the sites don't support their supervisors, thus making it seem more so like the supervisor is the one at fault. 2nd) It is understandable that people will be upset and want to speak in no uncertain terms about the company, but I would urge all of you to try to remain professional and make your point without using extreme profanity. People will often miss your point... Read more

Worst company I have worked for in 25 years in the work force. It is rated as one of Canada's worst employers. BEWARE. Such high turnover and awful pay that they will hire anyone, you will be left on site working upto 20+ hours some shifts because your replacement quit suddenly or called in sick last minute. I am utterly impressed they have not gone out of business in Canada. I wish there was a negative rating.

I am working for Securitas and I don't have many complaints but those that I have are not small. Is it too much to ask to be paid on time? Or to get paid for every hour I work without having to wait for weeks for them to fix the problem? Or not to have to wait 6 months for vacation check? I work long hours without complaint. I cover when ever they need me to with no problem. But when I tell my manager that I am getting evicted because I can never pay my rent on time do I deserve "that's not my problem, I don't do that."? And when you call for problem to be fixed they are throwing blame around. Well I DON'T CARE WHO MADE MISTAKE, JUST GIVE ME MY MONEY!!!" Never had any other problems, but I am looking for another job.

Securitas is an alright company. I've been working with them for a few months now as a FLEX OFFICER, and I gotta admit it's ok. All the people that complain about every little thing needs to get out of the Security business and work flipping burgers. It's hard enough to work with negative people, and people that complain because they have to do stupid shit makes it hard for us who actually wanna do our job. I like the company, but don't get me wrong, they do some bogus shit, but welcome to the real world! If you can't handle the way the real world treats you, then you need to get the fuck out. Security is not supposed to be a downhill ride. I hope that I never have to work with negative officers because I won't put up with any of the shit, if you don't like it then leave. Your supervisors are not your parents and shouldn't have to wipe your ass everytime you shit. Just do your job, put on a fake smile if you have to, but don't complain because it always gets you nowhere!!

I lasted just over a month at the Cargill site in Blair, NE. Uniforms: I went a month with one (a single) pair of uniform pants and only two short sleeve shirts. We could only wear the long sleeve "under-turtleneck" piece with long sleeve shirts. After a quick meeting with the site manager three weeks into employment he asked about my uniform status, and I told him (again) only two short sleeved shirts... Well, a week later he asked "why are you not wearing the turtleneck"? I reminded him of my uniform status, again. "oh". Well, long story, but they want you to wear a proper uniform whether or not they are having issues with the uniform supply company! The training, that Securitas is so proud of: When a supervisor was not too busy chasing his own tail due to personnel shortages, he would take a few minutes to train. The coworkers would help out, but everyone is busy doing the menial yet busy work that Cargill should be doing for themselves but has been successful in pawning... Read more

I've never seen a more disorganized piece of shitttt organization! They hire on new duchebag employees...give them weekends off...then take weekends away from all the long term deserving and reliable workers. They dick around your work days and FORCE you to work against your will on your days off....by threatening automatic termination. They even make you sign a paper stating you're required to call back within 4 hours on your days off or you get a write up. You also sign that you must work at least 1 day off a month or they can fire you and it covers their ass from paying you any unemployment for not working your day off. Hope you never want to leave town or make plans on your day off again...cause it's not fucking possible without getting fired!!!! I wish their headquarters would disappear off the face of the planet. What a fucking joke!

I too could write books about how bad this company is. I worked at a post in Marysville, OH (Goodyear) as the site supervisor for about a year. When hired in, Goodyear was on strike and I and my team worked during and after the strike. We did a great job and the client loved us. Unfortunately, Glenn Muhler who was the area manager for Securitas was the biggest liar you'd ever meet. He tells you there would be "roving supervisors" who would "gladly" come in to relieve you if you were stuck after a double and there was a "no-show". Not one single time after perhaps 100 requests did we ever have a "roving supervisor"- not once. I agree that bigger is not better concerning security. Let's review the history of this company- they have not been around for the 100 or so years- that was Pinkerton and they bought out Pinkerton. They bought out Burns Security and they bought out a lot of other smaller companies that were struggling. They kept growing and growing, but failed to have the managemen... Read more

Where do I start with this ass backwards organization? Upon my hiring, the man who interviewed me said that Securitas is the best security company in the world. That could not be further from the truth. Never have I had any job with such unorganized scheduling and lack of teamwork. I have only been working for two months and have bent over backwards to meet with the satisfaction of my superiors and I have gotten nothing in return. I don't mind coming in early and staying late when I'm asked to. That's not so bad, but when I myself say "Hey can I possibly switch with someone because I have plans later that night" or "Hey I need this day off because I am totally swamped with other events in my life" They agree and what do they do, they put me on the day(s) I request off! Not to mention our new schedule is not posted until a day before the new schedule begins! There was more efficiency when I worked at McDonald's in high school and THIS is the best Security company in the world?!... Read more

I have done contract security for 6 years and have worked at some crappy sites but here in lincoln they give you good site. I work at Black Hills Energy. We had alot of training and i just got up to 10 bucks a hour. The site is nice. We get along well with the people that work here and they treat us like 1 of them. We get the same benefits as corporate management. So im not complaining.

I worked at Exxon Mobil, which is still one of their biggest accounts in southern california. I know for a fact they pay $20 per guard and we only see half of it. That place sucked. For awhile I had to stay in a sh*tty little shack checking contractors' badges and searching their bags. They placed me and two other guards in a hell hole. I worked the first shift 4am - 12pm and it would be freezing cold in the morning! freezing cold to the point where your toes were frozen! The shack had a heater, but guess what, NO ELECTRICITY! I felt unsafe. I had to be there 8 and 12 hours a day! The area was so dirty and hazardous to your health because of all the dust that was kicked up by the employees who were leaving for work. I couldn't even use the bathroom-excuse me, porter potty- when I wanted to! Calling for a 10-100 on the radio was a nightmare! My supervisor even barked at me for requested too many rest room breaks! I worked for Securitas for about 3 years.I never received pay raise in that time. The insurance benefits they offer are a joke. It is not worth having. I was on a site close to my house and the work was not hard at first.During this time I had six different supervisors and each one found more and more duties for the guards to do.It became outrageous.Any complaint to management went unresolved. I could have taken the supervisor positon ,but I wanted to remain part time. Then the last supervisor changed the hours to acccomodate her day care problem.Instead of working 8-4 4-12 and 12-8,we were now working 4am to 12 noon,12 noon to 8pm and 8pm to 4am.This second shift was the worst .You had no time during the day or evening.Holidays were impossible. This is the thing. It's simple Business. A company like securitas cannot be around for as long as it has without being a good or at least decent company. All the other jack offs here are either terrible workers that get passed up for promotions and are angry about it or just sleep at thier posts. or maybe they are disgruntled ex-employees who are just mad because they got caught sucking at thier job. Securitas is the largest security sevice firm in the world. does that make sense. it should. securitas offers scholarships, school reimbursment, GED assistance and contributes hundreds of thousands of dollars to their local communites every year. Not to say that their arent ass holes and mean people working there. But when you review this, you are reviewing securtas as a company or corperation. these people are simply disgruntled. I have worked for sec uritas for a very long time and have had nothing but good experiences with them. thats the bottom line, now let the angry comments roll in.

I have never seen a group of people so large and so terrible get any job done together. This is achieved mostly by lying to them, every day, until they quit, and then lying to them more. I could write pages of individual experiences. You won't read it all, I can guarantee that, so let's stick to what I have learned. The management, the guards, they are almost all the same. Passive-aggressive manipulating power-tripping control freaks who only work their job so they can continue to micro-manage people who work three times as hard as they do. They never admit thier mistakes, all the people who work in the office are gossips. They could easily contain their personality flaws long enough to get the job done each day without lashing out at everyone they can get away with mistreating, but always manage to say what is necessary to let you know you are being fucked with - BY A STRANGER who knows only what the gossips tell them THE MINUTE after you do ANYTHING wrong - but never what you are ... Securitas should change their name to SECURITEMP as they hire virtually anyone, and everyone,BUT,they hardly have any full time, permanent posts! Oh gee..um..you say you want a "FULL" 40 hour "PERMANENT" schedule?..well..um DUUHHH,I "THINK" we may have a tentative, temporary part time position comming up!LOL! Hey,wait a minute,..what's that?..we can give you 20 hours, and then "FLOAT" you for the other 20 hours MAYBE??.Oh,please excuse the fact that we're still NOT going to pay you accurately,or on time! RE-GOD-DAMN-DICULOUS is the only way to describe Securitas! Oh,I forgot,if you don't complain, and do a good job,you can win a "BRAND NEW CAR!!..please insert that Roddy announcer fella's voice from the price is right show!lol" What they should say is that for the "OUTSTANDING" employee of the year, you can win a "FULL TIME SCHEDULE".I swear,I've never REGRETTED filling out a job application more than I have with Securitas!

Continued from below:I thought that sounded great and to help him and the client out, I'd be glad to do what was needed. About a week and a half later another guard is sent out to the site who I train and one who actually wants to be there. After showing him the hotel procedures and other do's and don'ts, and training him over the course of the night, I go home. Phil calls me at 7 pm again asking if I'd be willing to return again one more night and to observe this new guy to make sure he has it all down pat. I said of course I would. After that we spoke about new job sites again and how he was looking for something that would work well for me. I told him I would be as flexible as I could be and work weekends on another site, 10s, 12s, whatever is needed. I returned back the following night and watched the new guard again. All went well. I went home thinking my supervisor was doing his best to find me a new post. I waited for a week and then called only to be told he was in a meeting. W... Read more

What happened, well they sent me somewhere high profile, I was having real trouble turning up on time, often arriving 8 to 10 minutes late for my shift, which caused the guy I was coming down to re-leave to get very angry, so one day I walked in the door and the guy had a right go at me and bundled me into a corner under a pile of flying fists and kicks. Then when I called my Boss about it and threatened to quit, he came down to have a "Meeting!" sat in a chair and roared in my face "YOU WANTED THE JOB!" How sympathetic, anyway, I got my transfer to somewhere a little more local, expected to turn up on time, but once again it was out in the sticks, no buses or transport to get there. Then when I was working there one of the night shift officers, turns out he liked men, sat there and began insisting I should sit on his lap and give him a kiss and a cuddle. Ever tried to run away from a 12 stone big guy who quote "likes you!" Shortly after that I requested yet aga... Read more

So I posted here about 2 1/2 years ago stating that overall the screening process and branch management could use a bit of help. With that I still agree and at least in my 'area' are working to correct the deficiencies. I am still happy with the company (4 1/2 years) and have been treated farily and respectfully. I started as a flex officer and worked, I mean worked my way into now managing 32 officers for a high profile client. Most officers that 'pass through' don't really understand contract security and what that acutally intails however the majority of my officers do understand and accept the profession that they have either chosen or are currently working in.The thing that completly gets me is the officers that don't want to or complain about working crazy shifts... IT'S CONTRACT SECURITY... I have noticed that a lot of you on here have been 're-assigned' or terminated from the company... I would probably have harsh feelings too. Go get another security job and see if it treats y... Read more

I agree with almost everyone on this site.  Securitas SUCKS!!  They do promise you things that never happen, they lie, they treat you like crap.  Im from Ohio and worked out of the Hilliard branch.  I dont care who sees this, or anything.  My girlfriend was sick In the hospital Im doing 12 hour shifts.  I get a call the night before and Im nice and take care of it for like 2 weeks.  No I did not want to work 12 hours, but I did sometimes 13!!!  Anyways I did that then I get a call up for this job at Sams club checking people in and out making sure they aren't stealing anything from there.  I had to sit in this chair for 8 hours, or longer with nothing to do!!  This guys name was Byron Stuly never forget this guy the biggest ass hole! you will ever meet in your life!!  He was the boss there which was over me, and everyone else.  He had you sit in this chair for like I said 8 hours or more a steel chair, couldn't walk outside, and he even had to tell you when to use the restroom.  Talk a... Securitas is a tyrant feeding on the backs of its employees. They promote based on brown nosing or tenure. Ability is not a consideration. We are constantly lied to by "management". Upper management is as inept as the worst gaurds you've ever encountered. No performance evaluations or raises after 1 1/2 years is not right.WE NEED TO UNIONIZE! That'll give them a brain fart if we come to work, wait an hour and then strike!

After working here for approximately 1.5 years,I have discovered that Securitas security here in Los Angeles only epitomizes the fact that bigger definitely does not mean "BETTER" Securitas is just another B.S security company that talks good while walking bad! Securitas being as big as it is only allow them to treat their supposedly "VALUED" employees like pennies on the ground! They figure they can do this because they know that for every disgruntled employee that quits, another desperate, ignorant, masochistic, yet well meaning slob is on his way in to fill out an application that they can use, abuse, shortchange his check, make him feel like a lousy, lazy, good for nothing bum for not taking whatever garbage they throw at him, totally disrespect, cheat, lie to,and the fool will eat it all up,burp, and ask for seconds! In fact, I think it's very hard to "NOT" be hired by securitas as if you can qualify for a guard card from the state, "YOU'RE HIRED!!" I've seen some of the most degenerated pe... Read more

I have been working for Securitas for over a year now. I hate the company and am sick of the rude, uneducated, incompetent and arrogant upper management. I myself am supervisor and have been at many different sits and in two different states in New England. I was promised many different benefits that I have never received and will not receive. Certain benefits are only for salary employees and employees who work in the HR offices. So the guy who speaks as much English as my 2 year old son and sorts out the mail gets college money but I do not! WTF! And for the guy who said that this is Contract Security and if you dont like it then dont do it open your eyes. I have heard stories about this company for people is 7 different states and overseas and its all the same thing. I am former military and I am so ashamed to tell people I work for Securitas. I finally nabbed a good spot with halfway decent pay. Now I just have to put up with my paychecks being consistently wrong and keep remindin... Read more

It's obvious from the majority of the posts on here that most of the posters have no clue about how contracted security works. First of all, it's CONTRACTED - hence the title "contracted security" (amazing how that works, isn't it?). A contract can be terminated at any time for any reason by the client or the security company (in this case, Securitas). It's the nature of the beast. If you don't like that or can't handle that, you're free to go to work somewhere else. Second, the nature of security contracts is that almost all elements have to be agreed upon by both the client and Securitas. This could be anything from whether you are armed or not to how many hours of coverage are provided and whether or not the site gets a vehicle, etc. Securitas has some control over this - they can suggest options - but the ultimate decision rests with the client. Third, you're not going to get paid at the same rate Securitas bills the client. If you're making $8 / hr, Securitas is probably ... Read more

I worked for them here in s.Calif. about 6 yrs ago. They took over for Pinkerton/aka 'Stinkerton', another sucked up company. I remember how the Los Angeles area offices were loosing old clients, left and right. They lost Universal Studios about 5 minutes after they took it over, a very old account. They started taking bids from motels and bars in the sleazy part of town. I worked at this god awful wherehouse, in the middle of nowhere: you had to walk around for the full 8 hours, rain or shine, day or night. There was no guard post, no place to rest. They canned me and another guard for 'not doing our job', whatever that meant. I found out they were bidding it for around $14/hr and paying us about $8/hr. I was actually relieved when they got rid of me, I went out to celebrate not having to drive out there to the shitty job.

This company is absolutely the worst. I have only been working there for a few months now, but I just can't get by on the hours they are giving me. Most of the shifts they start you out at are very long shifts that run deep into the night/early morning. My last shift I worked was 8pm to 8am and my previous location I worked 9pm-4am. The problem though is that these posts are usually temporary. You will more than likely be a floater and will be in the same boat as I am. One guy I talked to told me it took a year for him to get a permanent post. One time they told me I would be working at this place, but they wern't sure where it was. They only told me to show up to the branch office and the supervisor will drive down with me. Long story short, it was a two hour drive out to the boonies. We were about 10 miles from the state border and I live pretty much in the middle of Ohio. They had me guard these trucks because some guy got layed off and threatened to blow up some trucks and whatnot.... Read more

This company is just god awful. They have this moron named Dale Champ working at their center in Springfield, NJ who I had been dealing with for over a month. I went through two interviews to get hired. They promised me a certain shift (4pm-12am) and then they suddenly UNDERCUT THE POSITION OUT FROM UNDER ME!! So at this point I was pissed, and told him I would not take any other position because he already promised this to me. He kept repeating back to me "but you said you can work other shifts" because they had this 12am-8am shift open. He repeated several times to me "That's not a big deal is it? You never said you couldn't work then, I don't understand what your difficulty is". That's not even the same shifts, and I said I was available to COVER other shifts should it arise I NEVER ONCE said I was willing to work that graveyard shift. I didn't like his attitude about it. Besides, it doesn't change the fact that HE PROMISED a shift to me and suddenly TOOK IT AWAY!! Ok, fine, I had p... Read more

Hi, let me start by saying that I completely agree with you. Securitas sucks. I've been with the company for 3 years, and have managed 3 seprate accounts. I understand that the guards have it rough, but the managers get it in the poop shoot from all sides. If the client doesn't like something, the site manager is blamed. If the guards don't like something, the site manager gets blamed. If the branch office doesn't like something, they tell the site manager that he doesn't do a good enough job despite the fact that he works double shifts every other day just to fill in for the branch office's lack of ability to fulfill their commitments to the client. I wasn't home for a couple of phone calls (they REFUSED to give me a cell phone, their excuse was "I wasn't important enough") and the ONE weekend I went away (first time in over a year), there was a call out that i wasn't able to handle so they decided to remove me from management and site some crap they made up. I've been ... Read more

Doesn't even deserve a one, really. This company is awful. The only good part is that you might be one of those lucky people to never have a problem with them, and get a site that pays decently. Where should I begin? 1.) Their dispatch office is horrible. They hardly ever get back to you on anything, forget who you are and where you are, and when you are somewhere.. they have no sympathy for your situation. 2.) There is no cohesion in the entire company that I have seen. Everyone does things differently, and if you work for someone who tells you to do one thing, and it conflicts with post orders, there's a damned if you do and damned if ya don't approach to whatever happens... Fundamentally, you are a scapegoat for the client and the company both. YOU are who gets fucked if anything happens. 3.) I have seen MUCH better actual security at a goddamned dance club, and it was all ages there, so they had to be careful of what they do! And I'm sure they got more respect. Most pl... Read more

Yes, unfortunately, Securitas treats it's employees as someone would treat their dog, IF they didn't like their dog. I've worked for them for a number of years and I am on their persona non grata list. After they brought in a new patrol manager who promised the world but managed to get the patrol division disolved, I have no respect for them any longer. Now, I just do my job and go home. I've never seen more incompetence in a company. The head company does not have any kind of grasp of the people they have in the office. If you are ex-military, you can almost be assured of a management level position, since they are the only people they promote. What a great way to treat people. They have no clue as to how to treat people.
