I have been shopping with Eileen and Bo for more years than I care to mention. From my college days, through raising a family and now as my own children move into their own spaces, I have always been able to find the "right" piece. The contant has always been the quality and value of these unique pieces, from the right accent piece to an entire room. We have always come home more than satified with our pruchases. More importantly, the satisfaction remains. 20+ years later, I still love my orginal purchass as much as when I first brought them home.

My husband and I have shopped at Eileen Lane Antiques for almost two decades and have bought numerous items of furniture from them. The items we have purchased include a beautiful armoire, a gorgeous break front cabinet, 3 lovely occasional tables and a set of dining table chairs. Their furniture is stylish and elegant, made of beautiful woods and is largely art deco and Beidermier. The quality is outstanding, the prices reasonable, and the service has always been knowledgeable, attentive and professional. The pieces work in almost any setting (pre-war traditional and co block modern) and have held up well over time. We have received many compliments on the furniture and I have recommended many other people to Eileen Lane, all of whom have also been extremely happy and satisfied. We highly recommend this store to anyone interested in high quality furniture not generally available in stores even in Manhattan. When my husband and I were selling our apartment, the purchaser wanted t... Read more

Eileen and Bo have set a standard of excellence that few, if any can match. More than 20 years ago a friend recommended Eileen Lane Antiques. I made my first purchase (a Swedish Deco Dining table) for my studio apartment. Over the years I added a few more pieces. When I moved to a larger apartment, everything flowed seamlessly into my new space and I happily had room for more and the perfect spot for my cherished alabaster lighting. Thanks to Eileen and Bo for helping me create a warm, inviting and unique home. They have a keen understanding of their customers' varied needs and desires, and work with same ease and professionalism for all, no matter how small or large your dreams. At Eileen Lane Antiques there's never a problem, only solutions. Case in point-I once found a piece so spectacular, but I couldn't have it because it was too tall for my apartment. Solution-I had my mother buy it, so now it's in her home and still in the family and I get to enjoy it. I'm fortunate to be a par... Read more

As I write this, I am sitting on the first piece of furniture that I bought from Eileen Lane, a daybed that I love as much today as I did the day I bought it, over 15 years ago. The furniture is beautiful and beautifully made. The pictures on the website can't truly do it justice. The woods and the craftsmanship are unlike anything you can buy new. And, while the furniture is antique, it works just as well in a modern setting. No matter where I move it looks as good in the new place as it did in the old. Over the years, I have had many people ask me where I found such lovely pieces and I have happily referred them to Eileen Lane, where they too have become repeat customers. Bo and Eileen, the owners, are even more lovely than the furniture. They provide excellent advice and are entirely trustworthy. If you live in New York, you should definitely take the time to visit their warehouse. If you don't live in New York, you are still in luck. My friends who live several states awa... Read more

It would be hard for me to imagine anyone ever regretting a purchase from Eileen Lane. They are the nicest people and they will never take advantage of you, whether you are a Master of the Universe or people like us without a huge fortune to spend. Their taste, refined over the years, is both consistent and specific which means that pieces you buy over time will always fit together in a complementary way that really works. For me, Eileen Lane is as much about light as it is about furniture. Yellow, incandescent light softly diffused through old Swedish alabaster is very beautiful. When it's absorbed and bounced back and forth by the surfaces of all that lovingly restored old wood, it bathes everything in a golden radiance that is truly heavenly, like the light we see in a painting by one of the Old Masters. Our only regret after buying a piece at a time over 20 years, is that our apartment is so darn small and we can't fit more of their stuff into it! Lucky you, if you have a bigge... Read more
