Dennis Quaid Doing Jerry Lee Lewis

This title looks like it belongs more on one of Binnie's lists than this particular list. And yeah, the film was pretty bad, but I've always regarded Dennis as a hack not fit to scrape crap off of his brother Randy's shoe, so it's not a bad move, just a bad actor in a bad film about one of the genre's innovators.

Um I heart this movie very much and i think he portrayed jerry lee lewis well. kudos dennis

Overall I like Dennis Quaid, he's had few good roles, sadly this wasn't one of them.

I don't think this guy was ever more than a B-list star. I don't think this role helped or hurt.

It didn't kill his career, since he is still acting currently, it just ended up being a movie that bombed badly.

This may be one of the most embarrassingly bad acting jobs I have ever seen. I actually cringed when I watched it. Now, I would never argue with anyone who would describe Jerry Lee Lewis as an over the top hick in the first placebut Dennis Quaid actually found a way to make him even more of a cartoon and therefore, even less believable. Im not sure that this was the reason his career seemed to stall at about this time but, it sure couldnt have helped much. PU!
