Tim Curry was the funniest actor and the scariest bad guy - they don't come any more versatile than he is. I loved him most in the Home Alone 1 and 2 movies. Really, when he was having a conversation with the tape recorder being played in the bathroom and when he hit the floor as the machine gun went off on the TV set - pretty much the funniest parts of the movie. Yes, he was spectacular in Rocky Horror Picture Show and no doubt made that movie the cult hit it is. I always thought it was a shame he didn't get higher billing in movies or TV. Very talented.

A great and talented actor. He has done some great movies. Espically Clue and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Sure RHPS doesnt really make much sense but a classic no less (he had great legs in that movie...is that good or bad fo a guy?). I really think Clue was a good role for him too playing the butler..very funny. I miss him lately though hasnt done much except for that short lived show on WB i think it was... again he played a butler...

A brillant actor who should have a shelf full of oscars. Always gives a great preformance. From the first time I saw him in THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, I have thought he was terrific.

Tim Curry definately makes my list of oddly fascinating personalities (others on that list include David Bowie, Christopher Walken, Mick Jagger and Nicholas Cage). His performances - regardless of the character - have always riveted me to the screen. My only regret is that he doesn't appear in more films.

Tim Curry is the quintessential character actor. Rarely is he the lead and almost every role is unique and eccentric in some way. His range is enormous. Voice work and acting. Frankenfurter was just the beginning. He played a russian 1st officer in The Hunt for Red october and is the voice of Nigel on The Wild Thornberrys. He can do drama, comedy and even sci-fi or action. Truly skilled and his unique voice is an asset not a hindrance. An actor who adds to any movie no matter how small the part... Exactly what a character actor should do.

I don't know if I would put him as a character actor unless you go really broad and saw bad guy(not even a villain). Ranges from Frank N. Furter, to the Cardinal in Three Musketeers, to the hotel manager in Home Alone, to the guy in Clue. I guess most are snooty and British, but that's just how he talks.
