06/06/2006 | Vero is one of the best surf beaches in the state. Most of the beaches in FL, especially on the Gulf coast have no waves, but from about Palm Beach up to Daytona, the waves are very strong normally. Vero has good sand and lots of waves, although be careful, some areas are a bit rocky. Vero Beach itself is a small town, so chances are you'll be able to find a spot for yourself.
