BBQ sauce can go either way.The crap fast food joints give out in little squarish cartons is unfit for cockroaches.Luckily,it's only crucial for stuff like spare-ribs,in which case a thick, home made, tangy sauce with the right ratio of heat to sweet will make or break the meal.

Sweet Baby Ra-a-a-ays! * * to the tune of 'Sweet Caroline'. Yeah, musical taste on par with my palette.

Bullseye is my personal favorite, followed by K.C. Masterpiece.

Barbecue sauces have a pretty wide range, although in general I'm a fan. I tend to prefer hotter sauces that are sort of a combo between vinegar and tomato based barbecue sauces. One of my favorite barbecue sauces is a fairly thin tomato based sauce that my brother in law makes where he basically just dumps in huge quantities of black pepper, chili powder, and cayenne. The only problem is that we're the only two people who eat it. Sweeter barbecue sauces can be good as a base for pulled pork sandwiches and such, but they still need to have a kick to them.

I'm not a fan of barbecue sauce. I love eating it with meats and to cook occassionally, but as a stand-out condiment on it's own, it doesn't have that same kick like ketchup and mayonnaise. Now barbecue sauce on ribs is loverly.

This is my favourite sauce. As someone mentioned earlier K.C. Masterpiece is a fantastic example of pure quality. Shame we can't get that in the UK.

The all-American condiment at the grill. Great with ribs, chicken, pork, baked beans, you name it. :)

I don't like BBQ sauce plain, but it's delicious if it's mixed with some other kind of sauce like plain tomato.

Good dipping, I like to put it on fries(sorry if I'm makin' y'all sick) and on burgers, chicken strips and ribs. Try it you will love it.

If it's K.C. Masterpiece, it'll improve any meat. I love the stuff.
