The game is great. the graphics are good just like the original. its just that the controls are way harder than he joystick on 64.

My kids love the game and it came in a fairly reasonable amount of time, BUT they can't save anything on this game. Therefore, they have to leave the DS plugged in and turned on for days on end, OR they have to start over each time. This product was a big bummer for them. They were disappointed to have spent their money on a bogus deal!

First of all the original Mario 64 was way better. But Super Mario 64 DS is still a DS game worth buying. If you don't have the original Mario 64, then definately buy this game (or get Mario 64 on Wii's Virtual Console, like I did). The controls are certainly a bit awkward. 3D Platformers should never be controlled without an analog stick. 30 new stages, 3 new characters, and a bunch of mini-games that use the touch screen are the best reasons to purchase the game if you already own the original. Improved graphics and sound make the game good. I rate this game a score of 79/100.

This is awesome!!! Hey, here's a little secret i found out: If your power is lo, go under water, surface, and your power will b completely full! My little brother has it, and he let me play it. YOU SHOULD GET THIS GAME! It also has awesome graphics but i always get stuck trying to figure out how 2 unlock Luigi. Any way, get this game! 5 starz!

I have played THE original version of Super Mario 64 (ok, not mine, a friend's copy) and I don't remember if the control was any better, but I remember it wasn't so hard to ground pound a frickin stake. What's new -A slightly altered intro, and you start off as Yoshi, and unlock Mario, and optionally Luigi and Wario, with each having a special ability after gaining the power flower. -Improved Visuals -30 new stars -Mini Games (not to mention a bunch of rabbits holding keys which allow you to unlock more) -New multiplayer "battle mode" So the new stars add some value and a few minutes for grabbing rabbits. So far I have logged around 23 hours and have 71 stars. The bad thing is that there are only 15 courses, but there are so many secret levels, stars, and areas, (infact in one case there is a whole NEW part to the level!) and the non-linearity give a great sense of freedom and the cart is loaded with secrets. Sometimes, the control can be a hassle, but Overall, a class... Read more

A pretty fun port of Super Mario 64 that shows off the capability of the DS.

This is a fun game, but it is too much like Super Mario 64. The multiplayer is fun, but it gets old fast, just like most DS games. This is an okay game to get, but it isn't worth it in the long run.

Great port of the Nintendo 64 classic, with many added features and great use of the touchpad, this is easily the best of the launch games (other than Metroid Prime: Hunters if you count the demo)
