Now I do like the snow, especially when I've got time to be out in it with my camera; but the snow we've been having since before Christmas is now getting to be somewhat of a joke. The entire transport system is gradually grinding to a halt as local Councils run out of grit for the roads after having to re-grit them every night. On top of this the planes have been affected with long closures of major airports across the country. The snow isn't that deep, it's the temperature that is doing it with the coldest so far being -17 Celsius and it's predicted to drop to -20 tonight. We've barely had any temperatures above 0 and when we have what little it has melted has only refrozen as ice making roads and pavements even more dangerous. Throughout this I've continued cycling the 5 miles to and from work and I must say that every trip has been a bit of an adventure. I've come off my bike on icy corners more times than I can remember (mostly the same corner I spun my car on the other week), a... Read more

Don`t get much of it where I live, an as a result most people can`t deal with it very well. Having said that, we are far better at dealing with it than these folks.....

When I was growing up, it snowed a few times each year. Now we don't get near as much snow here in Tennessee. My mom told me that when she was a kid that it snowed more than when I was a child. There's only one explanation for the lack of snow. Global Warming. I'll bet you $50.00 that in 20 years from now there will be no snow at all where I live. I used to love snow because it got me out of school. I hated it when the sun came out. I did not want the snow to melt. I give snow a 4 star rating.

It started snowing this afternoon and has continued all evening. There's about 4 inches accumulated so far. It'll be gone by Sunday if the forecast is right, but it is about a month too early for our first snow.

Right now we have about 12 inches of snow on March 3. my son happily had a snow day tuesday thanks to this wonderful snow. In Michigan we have gone past the average snow fall for our state and if we get just a few more inches we will even have a record snow fall. Oh Boy! Can you all sense how much I love hearing this? I guess you can tell by my rating how much I love all of this snow.UGGGGHHH. I hear that March is supposed to be famous for it's Lion- Lamb weather, well enough of the lion weather, bring in the lambs.  UPDATE: it is now February 6 another year, another "bleeping" winter. If I could move right now I would. as usual it is snowing again. it has not really let up all winter. as soon as it melts it snows again. the streets are awful and slippery, and it seems like I have no choice to drive in this $it. since someone always needs a ride. Can you tell how sick I am of winter?and we have a long way to go.Snow may be pretty for a few minutes, then you have to shovel it, scape it ... Read more

Depends on the amount and on the time it takes to get that amount. We're looking at upwards of a foot of snow tonight. I love snow, but I don't think this will be too much fun for atleast a couple of days. Maybe then I can take the baby cousins out and we can go sledding :) Should be fun.

I like snow especially the large flakes falling. That means a nice calm day and when you have large flakes coming down, heavily, you have little other noise. The snow makes it so quiet and peaceful!

Where i live, you have to like snow because we get it a lot. I'd take a blizzard over a hurricane, earthquake, or tornado any day. Snow is also better than cold rain, doesn't even have to be freezing rain, but the cold, soaking, rain that you get in Southern winters and Northern springs. Snow is fun, and in most of the places where you get a lot of it, it never gets in the way. If it snows a foot overnight, you will be able to drive where ever you need to go by 7 in the morning. Snow and sunshine are the two best types of weather. Just not together, because that does murder on your eyes.

I'm not huge on snow. A minute ago I spent almost a half-hour wiping snow and ice off my mom's car. Man, snow is bad.

We don't get snow often in Texas (we're talking maybe once a year), so when we get it, we savor it. Last Valentine's Day, our city was covered in a beautiful blanket of snow. It was a nice backdrop for the Valentine's Day dance and even better bought us three incredible days off of school.

Certainly doesn't create ideal driving conditions, but I love the snow nonetheless. Living in Houston, we hardly get any, and if we do get lucky it melts away pretty quickly. I do miss the snowy winters of the North.

A mixture of snow and ice was responsible for my mother's death, and not only that, snow is cold and nasty, and I will never live in the North again....I pray I never see it again....it killed my mom...who was the greatest, most beautiful, overall wonderful woman in the world. I miss her so much...:(

Nothing quite gets the adrenaline pumping like snow! Snow is a rare precipitation that is incredibly beautiful. When a chance is mentioned, its hard not to jump for joy! Snow closes schools, is a blast to play in, and as said before, looks great! As I write this, a Winter Storm Watch is in effect where I live! LET IT SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Snow is pretty and fun to play in, but a pain to drive in. I don't want it to last too long.

Pretty, especially when fresh. But I hate the driving conditions it causes.
