Apt 24 is always having the hottest parties in SF, but the problem is, you need to get there too early. There's a line by 10pm...but if you're look for hot woman, and can head out early, this is the place to go.

A great place to go in North Beach if you wanna be in a chill place thats not too crowded. The bouncers are pretty cool and the DJ is usually really good. The crowd is usually a good mix of people.

New North Beach nightclub in the former Dolce space features two VIP lounges and a DJ-fueled dance floor.

This club was just okay. The dance floor was small and there wasn't any place to sit. On the bright side, this spot seems to be quite popular and tends to attract some really beautiful people. However, I was quite dissatisfied with the drinks and the music selection.

This place is quite small and doesn't have a sign. However, it doesn't take a detective to find it. Just follow the line of people waiting outside. Lately, it hasn't been busy there on Fridays. Which I recommend going on Fridays, since they leave the VIP area open and you can snag a table. There is a coat check (referring to another review), stashed in the back of the club. I can't forget the cute girl I found working the coat check. There's anothert bar back there, where you can get your drinks a lot faster from. That's also where the "VIP" area is, although that area gets packed quickly. 4 out of the 5 bartenders were nice and friendly. The other was too busy to smile. They were attentive and the drinks were average price. The door staff was very polite too. Forgo the VIP area, it's only for those people there to "scene and be scene." Mostly everyone here is dressed to impressed, no tuxedos or anything but a lot of striped collared shirts. The crowd is a lot nicer than the Marin... Read more

Although the crowd wasn't what I expected I have to say that the DJ played a pretty good mix of older R&B and club hits and I enjoyed my time there. Get there early to avoid waiting and paying cover. The dolce VIP stickers are a sweet deal too, we never have to pay cover again!

I think this place has some good points, but overall it's really nothing too special. There's a bed in their "vip" area which i guess could be cool but just seems kind of silly and a big waste of space. There's always a long line, but it never feels like the wait was worth it. They do play pretty fun music and I've always had a good time dancing there though if you don't mind being packed like sardines on the floor.

Dolce should not be charging a cover. For $10 cover, they couldn't even be bothered to have a coat check set up! They obviously put no money into making the exterior or interior look nice. Dance floor was tiny. The women's restroom only had TWO stalls!! Drinks were completely watered down. I normally am drunk after 3 drinks, but after a mai tai, margarita, and long island, I was still sober. They don't taste good either. Music was forgettable. Most people had to stand because the place is so small there aren't enough seats. The crowd is decent and that is the only positive thing I can say about the place.

wow i love this place, its the best club in san francisco for sure , its allways packed with hot women- but what i love most about it is the guy at the door from the UK. I think his name is Mirko, he's worked at like every club in the city he's such a great guy. I think he owns a martial arts school in the city Zanshin Dojo check it out. he's always really nice to you at the door unllike a lot of clubs, he's super friendly and welcoming. He's also very popular, everybody loves him, for me he's the best part of my night at Dolce. So go on down to Dolce and say hi tell him Barbera sent you, im sure he'll let you in and you might even get one of his VIP stickers ( they get you in free for life!)

The girl to guy ratio has got to be the best in the city. I've been to Dolce when it seemed like the only people in there were girls! DJ's are usually great, and the dance floor is always packed. Bartenders are hot and I always seem to have a blast here.

I went to a private party here and it was an awful experience. The bouncers were rude and excessively "hands-on" and overall, the place is not worth your time. Do not throw a party here.

Head to Dolce for a fun evening in North Beach. Best to arrive early, the line gets long around 10:30, enjoy a cocktail and hit the dance floor. Dolce draws people from a variety of locations: Bay Area, LA, and even as far away as France. The set-up facilitates conversation near the bar and in the VIP area, dancing near the dj. Definitely serves up a fun evening!

I had my 26th birthday party at Dolce and had the best time!! VIP is definitely the way to go no long wait in line, an escort to your table and then greeted by more friendly staff. Our waitress was extremely nice and made sure that everyone had what they needed. Trust me, no one when without a drink in-hand at all times. And the music was definitely music to dance to. Ive been to Dolce quite a few times before this and always have a great time. Its one of those places where you dont leave until it closes (of course have a hard time finding a taxi home) and then recap all the craziness that went on that night, the next morning. As you can tell, Im a huge fan and if youre looking for a great time you will find it at Dolce.

I've never written a review before, but felt compelled to share my experience after going to this club. Dolce is a DISAPPOINTING club that has nothing real to offer anyone looking for a good time. The dance floor is small and the VIP area, is just short of pathetic with its five tiny spots to sit. They claimed to be playing Hip Hop when I went, but was more like 80's/Dance with Hip Hop sporadically mixed in. The worst thing about Dolce was their power hungry security boys, who discriminated against the line and allowed girls in first, then good looking guys. And where these good looking people were, I don't know. Dolce trys to create much hype about an image they can't live up too. Out of all the nightlife in SF, I would NOT RECOMMEND going here. You can definitely find a better spot to be at.

It's been a long time coming that SF finally started getting swankier clubs and better dance places. Dolce is great if you're not into the college crowd and you love great music and drinks. Expect a line, but the wait is well worth it.

After arriving for what was supposed to be a private, VIP party I was forced to wait in the rain with the other "VIP" guests -- despite the fact that I was placed on the "guest list" weeks before. If you're thinking of having a private party for your friends... don't assume those friends will be able to join you. The guest list is useless. There's nothing this place offers you can't find at many other SF clubs... except perhaps unusually bad service.

I totally understand if the place is packed so people have to wait outside at the door. However, Dolce held up the line and only the girls could get in. Most of my guy friends had to wait at the door for 1.5 hours until almost 12:30am. When I got in at around 11pm, I found that the dance floor was so empty. Why hold up the line out there? Was it because they wanted to show a nice image for other people who just passed by on the street that they had a lot of people in there? The only reason we decided to wait was because we wanted to celebrate birthday together. Also, the music and atmosphere were just okay. The place did not look as good as the pictures that they showed on the web site. Anyway, this place is not worth to waste my night there!!!

Dolce is the only club in San Francisco where everything from the hot Bartenders to the dance floor, the drinks and the DJ is amazing. I moved to the city from New York City and this place is the only spot that compares NY's high end clubs. Weekends are the busiest and the craziest. Get there early or be sure to wait in line. The bouncers are discriminating but it makes for a really beautiful crowd. If you want to avoid the lines, Wednesdays and Thursdays are best. Dolce is by far my favorite place in San Francisco.

The Scene A light green and white color scheme leads from the street marquee, past security and inside, where a back-lit bar is adorned with intertwined roses. The DJ setup is across from the bar, near a translucent cloth that separates the main space from the dance floor and doubles as a screen for projected visuals. More wispy material surrounds an elevated lounge replete with worn wood floors, velvet ottomans and a brown bed. There are also two tall beds pushed against a wall on the dance floor. The Draw This place gets mobbed with sexily dressed bodies on Fridays and Saturdays. The decor is stylish; the sound system is clear and thumping. Other nights can be more subdued, with house music and private parties. There's a full bar, rotating drink specials and a few tap beers (including Stella Artois). The DJs are typically well-known locals.

Ok, Dolce is a great club--The people are attractive, the DJ's are good, and the service is polite and prompt. That said; do not go to Dolce if you are looking to book a VIP table. So here is the deal with the VIP, you pay anywhere from $150 - ? Depending on how many people in your party. So that gets you a "private table" up in the VIP area. Sounds great huh? What they dont tell you is that there is nothing stopping anyone from coming up into your area or even sitting at your table; and while this is fine when the club not packed, once it gets full people will push into your section, I promise. Nice club, but pay $10 and get the same VIP service as those who paid for it.

Went on a Saturday night and I had a fun time. Good crowd, mostly people in their 20s. Good music. They played everything to hip-hop, top 40s, Michael Jackson, and Guns and Roses. It's a good place to go dancing but the place is small and can get stuffy. Bartenders were quick. Drinks were decent. Paying cover was lame, but everything in Northbeach has a cover. Parking is horrible.

If you don't care much about the music, you'll have a good time at Dolce. I was really looking forward to hearing some good hip-hop, but the DJ didn't even have some really popular mainstream stuff. I got treated to the same Black Eyed Peas song 3 times. We were in the VIP area (which means you pay money, but don't have any special privilages) and the drink service was really efficient at cleaning up your half-finished drink. I couldn't believe how many times my friends and I had our drinks taken. The server was really sweet, but she kept forgetting the designated driver's juice. Not cool.

Good times. We had a large group event there last week, quite a pleasant experience.

Our group got split up when the bouncers would only let in all the girls to leave behind 2 guys to stand outside for another hour. As for the dj, he played off an mp3 list half the time with music that was from 80's, even though it was hip hop night. There was all this good equipment that didn't get used. Dolce may be sweet on the outside, but like most sweets, it doesn't really satisfy at all.

I had my best friend's bachelorette party here and everyone had a blast. I got a table and a bottle and the service was great. even tho i was told only 6 of the 12 would get in w/o a cover (that's their polilcy), at the door the bouncer cut us a deal. we got in right away and were taken care of the whole night. Someone from the club even called the next week to see how everything went. the music and dancing were great, drinks were good. i can't wait to go back.

This place is always fun. It's more of a "young professionals" crowd as opposed to the rest of North Beach, which is getting more grungy. The drinks are moderately priced, and strong. The best night to go is Saturday night when they play hip hop. I went one time on a Thursday, and there were not many people there. The only advice I'd give to management is to put the DJ upstairs by the coat check, because right now he takes up a lot of space on the dance floor.

I've been wanting to go to this place, since I always read all the good reviews. I was at Dolce this Friday we waited in line for 1 hour and 30 minutes to get in and the most frustrating thing was the security standing at the door,he will let 2 or 3 people go in every 20 or 30 minutes Theres a lot people that go in without getting in line because they know the bouncers which i don't think is fair for people whos been standing there (its just ridiculous) but the Dj is off the hook drinks are good and they are not pricey bartenders are nice, friendly and fast, so my best advice to you is Don't be late or you are not getting in!.

With the rest of North Beach becoming really cheesy, Dolce is one of the few great places to escape from it all. There are always great DJs, a good mixed crowd and there seem to be a lot of different groups having parties there. The only drawback is that lines can get too long on the weekends.

If you're looking for a place where you can sit in the VIP and totally enjoy yourself, don't come to DOLCE. i went there this weekend and spent $200 to be in the VIP, but there wasn't anything VIP about it. People not in the VIP section kept coming into the area, as well as sitting on my $200 table. Even the other VIP people were doing it. I constantly had to ask the watiress and security guards to have them removed, which is annoying to most who want to just relax and have a good time. Basically, security sucks and they have tons of "friends" they let into to VIP withouy paying. Also, even when you first come to the door, it takes 15 minutes for them to actually let you and your party in! Not to mention, the place is really hot-- no airconditioning!

Every time I go to Dolce I seem to have a blast. The music is great, and the crowd is even better. Only bad thing is getting in! I've learned to get there early though, and I highly recommend it. Dolce and North Beach seem to be on the rise.

Everyone I know had been talking about this new place, Dolce. I finally checked it out a few weeks ago and haven't wanted to go anywhere else since. After moving to SF from NY, it was impossible to find a cool spot with great music, until now. The bar staff is gorgeous and fast (great combo) and every night that I've been there the dance floor has been going crazy. Beautiful decor, amazing djs, great crowd.

I have been to Dolce 3 times now and they continue to surprise me with the best customer service ever as well as great values. Drinks are not expensive, they play fun dance, hip-hop music at a level that allows you to still have a conversation and most of the girls are beautiful.
