Rebtel for the Common Man Like any other expat, I too was isolated during the first few days in the US. I moved here for higher education but used to feel the pinch of distance since my family lives in India. Great service that lets me stay in touch with friends and girlfriend abroad. Works like a charm from any mobile or land line and I've saved a fortune as I'm calling abroad everyday.

I have been using Rebtel for two years and never had any significant problems with it. Sometimes the calls drop, but that can happen with a normal mobile operator as well. What cannot happen with a normal mobile operator is talking long distance for almost 3 months for $10. Calls to European landlines are so cheap that you forget that you call internationally. What is really nice I htink that they ofen give you free credit: for referring friends, for filling surveys and even for some games on Facebook. I won 10 dollars a couple of months ago for filling in some survey about Rebtel Android app. Very cool. Still using this free credit! ^^
