Thanks for giving that smoked ham O'Donnell more screen time. O'Donnell's incessant chatter lowered your brain cells and everyone will you "I told you so" when that she stabs you in the back.

I never really liked her and I think she has a negative effect on our society. If you do not like Obama-blame Oprah-she got him elected!

I don't get what so obnoxious about her? She is a good-doer and peacemaker that uses her public persona and status to help needy and less fortunate.

Much has been made of her show taking off the mask of I'm-really-straight-no-really Tom Cruise, but Oprah is heading for Cruise-esque self-importance. . .the mags, the TV show, and the shameless self-promotion will eventually wear thin on even the most brain-dead follower. . .

Not only annoying, but very arrogant at times. Although, I will admit, I have watched her show many times.

She has an ego bigger than her stomach sometimes.

I really don't find Oprah obnoxious in the least. And while I am not what you'd call a fan of her show, I don't understand why it is people would dislike her. Is it because of her shockingly huge success? Because as not only a black woman but a woman in general, she has reached enormous heights. She seems to be to be a very genuine person who has her own personal missions, a very giving heart and a knack for human empathy. Why else would so many Americans love her?

Oprah's got it all figured out. Let's all listen to her and become little Oprah clones.

I wont dispute the fact that Oprah has done some good deeds or that she has a friendly personality and may basically be a nice person. The thing that irks me about her and many other people who are in the public eye is that they tend to grow enormous heads because of it. The longer her show runs the more she takes on the role of guru, psychiatrist, best friend, crusader, savior, literary critic, nutritional expert, earth goddess and spiritual advisor. It seems that certain personality types sit in awe of her, buy the books she recommends, go on the same diets and seem to generally believe everything that comes out of her mouth or imagination while very rarely if ever questioning her credentials. Just because you have a show that encompasses a variety of subjects doesnt mean that you are automatically an expert in all of them. That someone would build their ego to such a point to believe that they actually are qualified to dispense advice and information based solely on their celeb... Read more

Oprah should not be on this list. She is a wonderful person, humanitarian, and celebrity. She has done amazing things with her celebrity. When she started her book club, it encouraged many Americans to begin reading. Something we could all do more of. She has encouraged so many of us to live better lives and help out in ways we had never thought of. If Oprah has made some mistakes, it's only because she is a trusting, kind, gentle soul, and wants to see good in everyone. Oprah should be on the greatest people of all times list.

I would love to see her becoming the first ever female AND African-American president of the United States, but doubt very much that it'll ever happen. :(
