I recently took lessons with Longhorn driving school and was able to successfully clear the driving test. Both Mike and Barbra are very nice people. Mike is a very good instructor. During the practice lessons he took me through various types of roads free ways, service roads etc .. On the day of the test he asked me drive around the same place where the test is taken. I am glad that I chose Longhorn driving school.

I would think that this website should be careful about allowing posts to be made regarding specific names in public. I am just checking things out and it seems aweful brave of this website to allow specific names seeing that other sites dont allow this. Brave on your part is all I can say. I rated a 3 since I havent went through this training but it seems strange that the two ratings are more of an attack versus helpful facts.

Well, Horton (hears a donut), fat a**, always had a taste for donuts and it was during our driving time never with extra time to spare. My parents did not pay for him to stuff his fat face. And he is a perv. he asked all kinds of personal questions, he is a freak. I don't care about the people with positive reviews, there are more negatives than postives about this place, especially with the fat instructor. I tell all my friends not to go there, go to another driving school. People should take the negatives about this school very seriously. I have a brother that will be driving soon and my parents will not be going back to longhorn.

myself went to Longhorn, Half the time the old management was there, and then halfway through the knew people, mike and barbara took over. You couldnt ask for nicer people! I loved my experience there, i admit, the beginning owners were pretty rough. But thats all in the past. And as for the fact of Mr. Horton, the "Obese" one, He is amazing aswell! I always requested to drive with him. Yes, he had a love for donuts, but he alway's made sure we got in all the driving time we were supposed to. The donut Trips were only when we had time to spare, and he would alway's treat us right. I NEVER had a problem with him trying to get into my personal business, either. I absolutly love the new atmosphere of the building, the new owners made it much more comforting and clean. And of course, theres always that schedualing problem, but wherever you go you will have to wait, its how life is. Learn to be patient people, its not like you cant wait 5 minutes. I think the new management is doing a fanta... Read more

My daughter had problem with one of the instructors (the obese one), he was asking her personal questions and made demeaning remarks about her, totally unprofessional!!! The instructor was more worried about getting donuts then driving. I filed a complaint with TEA (they license driving schools) regarding the conduct of this instructor. If there is a complaint send it to TEA so than can log the complaints that is the only way things will change. If you complain to the school nothing will get done. Here is what should be done. COMPLAINTS If you believe that a driver training class was presented inappropriately, either due to its content, its presentation, a reduced class length, or instructor misconduct, please contact the Driver Training Investigative Unit at [email protected] or call (512) 936-6777, or send a fax to (512) 936-6799. A general complaint form in Microsoft Word format is at www.tea.state.tx.us /drive/Complaint.doc and a PDF version of a general complaint form i... Read more
