Another example of why Oprah should be muzzled tied up hustled into a van and dumped over the canadian border.

Curses on Oprah for unleashing this egomaniac on a gullable public. Mildly entertaining and I like his efforts to help dyfuntional families. I just wonder after the camera shuts off if these folks continue to recieve help?

Not the most obnoxious dude out there but it must be pretty painful to be around him when he's off the air.  Probably hasn't been wrong even once in his life!

I never like this stupid bully of Dr. Phil and his plastic wife. He is very superficial absolutely not a people person. He is very critics and judgmental. He thinks he is superior to anyone and in the end he is just showing an unstability and stupidity. Who do he think that he is. All those people from the entertainment are really disgusting.

i like dr phil but gives the impression that he is 'perfect', that he has no flaws. also, he is a bit of an instigator....cant wait for the day that some good controversy pops up!

Being in a psychology field, I would say he wasn't to bad at first but now he seems to spend to much time putting people down, which is certainly not helpful, especially for parents who already tend to question their abilities. I beleive a good psychologist helps to boost self-confidence and not take it away.

There are certainly worst and more obnoxious people around than Dr. Phil. He certainly does come off a little holier than thou, more often than not. I still don't understand how he can call someone fat, and say it with a traight face at that, when he's not exactly thin himself. Personally I don't care what he or anyome else weighs, I just think it's a bit audacious of him. I just have a hard time with anyone that sets themselves up as a moral judge.

Dr Phil is not licensed to practice psychology in California or any state. This quack tried to cash in on Britney Spears' breakdown and had his employees bail out one of the teens charge in the Youtube attack.  He on the same level as Jerry Springer.

I don't think he has the proper creditials and I'm hoping it won't take another Jenny Jones Show-type tragedy to occur for him to cease. Airing these personal matters may sometimes help viewers see some problem they haven't been aware of, but the poor souls getting "help" in front of a TV audience are setting themselves up for a world of hurt, I think. People who watch must be the type who rubberneck at highway accidents.

I almost thought I liked this guy a bit with his homespun charm and Dizzy Dean-esque hyperbole. Then I got a load of his wife...thats one scary woman, that vacant smile masks a real viper. I can't trust advice from a man whose marriage is clearly based on fear, not love.

Please, somebody shut this guy up. Now he says there is a possibility Natalee Holloway is alive and he (of course) knows exactly why. Well, why don't you tell us exactly where she is and then go save her. Then you can write another book about how to lose weight. So obnoxious.

Why does he incessantly walk off the end of each episode with his wife? I have to give him a star above Ricki Lake and Jerry Springer. Though I cannot understand why you would broadcast your domestic issues on television. And for counselling? Next there will be phone polls where the audience rings in and votes whether a couple should stay together...

He probably did Oprah and that's how he got his show as a fake psychologist. Most psychologists are fakes anyways, right? Occasionally he comes up with a decent show that is entertaining and I get more insights from his so called clients than his supposed advice. He gives run of the mill tough love advice that you could get from any person off the street if you ask them. At least whatever you ask this person isn't going to be aired to your humiliation and regrets later on. Oh and this person's advice is free. Better yet, go to church because I bet your pastor can counsel you better.

He's faking that accent half of the time, you can tell. It adds to his image, but is starting to fade because he doesn't live in the South anymore. so he fakes it every once in a while. Not to mention that he has some of his patients or guests or whatever you would call them, seem to be more intelectual than him. And the glare from his head is awful

Well, this guy gets my vote since Larry The Cable Guy isn't on the list. This hick blowhard should take part in his own Ultimate Weight Loss Challenge. I find it amusing that he lectures others on losing weight when he's overweight himself. Can you say HYPOCRITE??? I'd love to see some other self-help guru chastise him for his obvious hypocracy. That would be hilarious.

A big fat bald dude who writes books on how to lose weight. Adulterer who counsels married couples. Now, has been accused of promoting a boot camp where kids supposedly have the crap beaten out of them. This thug is a walking contradiction.

He could have a better show,he's ok with helping overweight people but when it comes to relationships,he can be sexist and doublestandardish.I hate it when he tells a husband you want to be a better leader? If he wants to ask questions like that,,why not on TBN or CBN where they believe in husband, kids, dog then wife!

How does this guy affect anybody. He's part of this movement that treats common sense like it's some type of divine inspiration that only he can dole out. Set boundaries for your kids, wow novel a concept. Leave an abusive spouse, this gets you book deals.

Anyone who despises Dr.Phil that much obviously can't handle the truth. And that is exactly what Dr.Phil gives everyone - the raw truth, no sugar coating or disguising. This is a great show in every aspect, Dr.Phil is a genius!

First off, let me say that I don't buy into his Ultimate Weight Loss stuff at all. He seems to get a bigger gut as time passes on- shouldn't he practice what he preaches? With that said, I think Dr. Phil is a pretty common sense, no non-sense kind of guy. His clever sayings add lots of humor but his accent really drives me insane. I don't find him tough or mean though...

I don't watch him much as he strikes me as a fad that will pass. He's hard on drinkers, druggers, and other forms of dysfunciton, which is fine, but I think coddling a cross-dresser just because the freak was comfortable with itself is a bit inane, if not totally unfair. Leave the freak stuff to Jerry Springer and that ilk.

A sanctimonious self-righteous jackass who was fortunate enough to be touched by an Oprah. Frasier Crane possesses more empathy. Not content to browbeat people who simply want his advice, Dr. Phil has become a shill and charlatan in the weight loss realm. Hardly qualified to talk to people about marriage; after all, he got divorced too.

I have been warning people for so long now about this guy. Because so many people want to whine and cry about Ricki Lake, Jenny Jones, etc...this is exactly the type of tv talk show hosts they are going to force on us. Who wants to watch an obnoxious, know it all who has no heart on daytime tv when you could be watching a loving, caring, sympathetic Ricki Lake? It doesn't even make sense. Even though Ricki's shows, and others like her get too repetitive sometimes, at least she doesn't make us feel bad about ourselves...and always tries to make her guests feel comfortable. Dr Phil yells, degrades, and makes people feel bad all the time....no thanks...I do not tune into television to be told that I am fat by someone else who isn't a skinny minnie either...get real Dr Phil...

UPDATE: Is anybody watching his new Ultimate Weight Loss Challenge? (his crap is everywhere, as if you could avoid it) For one, he picked the most victimy whiney morons in America and then created his own reality show by putting them in a fancy house so we can all watch them cry about their traumatic childhoods and fight over the Ding Dongs in the pantry. This is pop psychology??? It's a pompous bald guy playing God with a bunch of fat people with no self esteem! God, he's bad, and he takes himself so seriously! Really, do you have to have infinite wisdom and a Ph.d to get on a talk show and tell a pregnant woman that taking handfuls of vicodin is bad for her fetus? Or that a mother bragging to her bullemic teenage daughters about all the weight she's lost is probably a bad idea? Only Dr. Phil would get some of the most brain-dead people in America with pretty obvious problems on his show and then get on his soap-box and tell them how crazy they are for putting pull-ups on their ...
