The time slot of the show must be the best thing it has going for him. Art Bell's best days are behind him, he's still smart but not at all dedicated to studying and getting into radio shows. Plus he sounds like he's like 100 now. That being said if they happen to get a journalist or somebody well rounded to host the show in 2010 and beyond the format is still good. The guests need to be questioned more intelligently. I turned on the show not long ago and have heard more than once people just singing over their phone on the air. That has got to be some of the laziest radio ever when a host allows this. But the sponsors are still paying for the show so it goes on. In reality a rival network would do well to have an overnight show, remember Larry King live overnight? Something like this would even be an reasonable substitute, it will happen its just a matter of getting a dedicated host and better producer. The current host comes across as lazy, arrogant, but with this many affili... Read more

Arts love life aside, his knowledge of the science and technology was the basis of well thought out questions to good guests, something that Noory could only read about. Hire George Knapp.

Art went in the tank after the "untimely" death of his wife Ramona, and the subsequent mail order Filipino teen bride fiasco. Even Clear Channel had enough after Art blubbered on air about a life altering decision after his "soulmate" left him. Art sounded suicidal, then we find out that the decision was to marry his teeny bopper he was a courtin' over the net even before Ramona's death. What a douche. It's amazing that the Coast Show survived his lunacy. Then another of his abandoned sons showed up in a Philadelphia Review article (vincent pontius) and Art ran away, and he was finally fired as regular host. Good riddance!

The recent New Years show hosted by Ian was a Joke. The only interesting guest was Gerald Celente. What happened to quality guests like Shawn David Morton, Ed Dames, The Merlin Project guys, Glenys MCants the numbers Lady, Evalyn Paglini. What a Joke for a predictions show. I know High-school kids that can put together a better list of guests for the first show of the year Jan 1, 2009. And to top it off they canned their most accurate predictions guest Dr. Turi. This show has become a major disappointment.

As much as I don't like George Noory as host of Coast to Coast, I don't think it's necessary to continue with the insulting name-calling.And believe me, I do not enjoy him as the host in the least.Maybe if we reasoned with him tactfully, he'd just step down. Also, PLEASE no one suggest that Ian Punnett take over. He's better than George, but he still shouldn't be the full time host.Art Bell Kicks ASS!  It's a freakin shame that they couldn't find somebody decent to replace him after he retired.5 stars for Coast with ART Bell ... Only 1 star if it's Noory.

I used to criticize Art, but now I see how wrong I was because I think Art had other things in his life distracting him AND the theme of Coast to Coast was too constricting, mandating the recycling of the same old guests. Art is smart.  Noory is not. With Art, the show can have hope. With Noory, it will die. Hows 'bout bringing Art back and expanding the show to political commentary, and maybe learning about different religions, new art movements, more depth in how other countries are implementing alternate energies, etc. Maybe people would turn on and off and not like all the shows, but I think right now there are people who listen less and less and eventually not at all. Art is smart enough, usually, to be able to sniff out when the guest has a particular agenda, when there is another side to a story that is not represented, when the guest is not using the show to inform, but to create prejudice in the audience, like T.BoonPickens' energy proposal. Noory is inept at sizing people... Read more

GEORGE SNOORY? GEORGE BOORY? sorry, george. but he reminds me of your well meaning, but simple cousin who can't figure out why he keeps being sat at the kiddie table EVERY thanksgiving... i believe at one time george had enthusiasm, but now it is so put-upon that i feel like a dinner guest squirming to get away from him: the same stories told and retold; the confidence that he is beloved by all; the angling to get the point back on him at every turn, without elucidation or true discourse ever being given a chance; and blowing through canned questions to race to get to the end of the show. his intended motivations are clear, but his delivery is intolerable. perhaps it is all a result of sleep deprivation--i've sometimes suspected nodding off at some turns, or inattention at the least. but if he truly is that unhappy, please move on, or make it work, the audience has earned that. really, george, this isn't personal. i'm sure you're a nice fellow, but i'd bet you'd be happ... I agree that whatever you think of the content, Bell was a far better host than Noory. Noory speaks as if English is his second or third language, is simpering and ingratiating to every guest and caller no matter how tongue-tied or idiotic, and has a transparently phoney " I'm one of the good guys " spiel which Art Bell at his most self-promoting would have never stooped to. I have no doubt the calls are now screened because from what I read and see on the Net he is unpopular, yet the tenor of the callers allowed on is that Noory is practically the messiah. It causes me to squirm when I hear an intelligent guest patronize and humor him in spite of his foolishly unprepared questions, as if the guest were talking to a seven year old child interviewing him for a grade school paper. But I am an insomniac who stays up until three in the moerning and have since childhood - I like to fall asleep to the sound of the radio, even if its Coast to Coast.

I used to listen to this show until George Noory took over. Noory has taken the show to a nadir. He is completely inept as host and cannot even conduct a decent interview. His grasp of the subject matter is very poor and fails at every turn to generate a cutting edge feel to the show (cutting edge as it used to be with Art Bell). The show now has a Saturday Afternoon, school kid level theme to it and no longer appeals to the original group of trendy core listeners. Noory's reliance on screened calls squashes any hope of attracting the kind of novel, interesting topics the show used to be famous for. This is understandable however because it is obvious Noory doesn't handle an impromptu format very well. Overall, I give the host and production team an F for the poor handling of the show. I honestly cannot understand why Noory is still at the helm. He is totally unsuited for the job.

Have you been abducted by aliens, had your mind controlled by Lindsay Lohan's childhood pet, or been "initialized" by a secret government program? Congrats, there is a place for you. It is called Coast to Coast AM. No matter your delusion, you will have a national audience who will believe you instead of laughing at you. It's too bad that you should be telling your concerns to a shrink instead of a radio host.

There is only one way to exit with a humanitairian stradagy. We would need to colaborate with India to provide security. China would be the worst to instate into a police role just as is Americia. We have no strong ties to thier culture next to war. We have left spent plutonium munitions when our orginial invading policy was the fact they had Nuclear Weapons. Well now they do!? It is not my intention to insult United States role, but stradigiet. India is the only country that can turn this around with positive results. Parts of India have simular culture and religon. India was occupied and strugled for thier indapendence. There can be a peaceful resolve for Iran and that would be for the U.N. to enstate a Clear nuclear policy and to Supply the country with energy in a U.N. controlled and protected facility. Why fight a war that is ment to insite more war? It would be a hard agreement to arrange but it is possiable. All I have to say to the United Nations who's best interest do you w... Read more

I now listen to Art only when I happen to wake up and most of the time for a short while. Art has probably gained many new listeners and probably lost a few as well because he bent over, sold out and aligned himself with the same crowd that is over represented on talk radio. Art is still the most entertaining and best interviewer of the three. I agree with Stark Truth, I was also shocked when I heard about Ramona. I was surprised when Art returned after a short absence from the show sounding happier than I expected. After listening to him letting the cat out of the bag so to speak, he left me with the impression of being a very selfish and immature man. Let it be known this was my least challenging opinion. Art is a transparent man, he explained himself with these statements lately: "So be it" "we only live once" and "free will is a bitch". After promoting the good lifestyle in the Philippines and as a favor and service to his listeners, I wish he would promote the 5 part series about ... Read more

If you are teetering over the sanity line, this show is for you! The 'Shadow People' host (and his often insane callers) is definately tuned towards the 'a new conspiracy-every-minute' crowd. I don't think I have ever heard him challenge even the most nonsensical guest or caller. Never knew there were so many rocks that could be overturned in the high desert(Parumph).

I give c2c 5 stars if it's Art or Ian, but George.....omg.I try to listen during the week, but i find myself yelling ..George stfU!!! Retard! Usually his shows are about NDE's..yay..and all these new age bs'ers talkin about natural healing and such..freekin booring.George is constantly coming to conclusions about things and telling these impressionable people that some things are true. Ex: "yes, that's the old hag you saw for sure" LMAO! I can't believe this moron is allowed on the air..He needs to go jump into one of his "portals" and disappear. Pleasee let Ian or ART do all the weekday shows!!Now all i can do is listen to old Art recordings..Peace

I love Art Bell, but George Noory is too political. He bashes Bush every chance he can. His voice becomes more excited when a guest talks against big oil. He should go back to doing weather and traffic in St Louis.

-am a long long time listener, and very much like both Geo.Noory & ArtBell, particulary as they tend to let the caller speak about that which is of interest (without rudely pulling the plug on them), --and i enjoy many of their nightly topics, plus now that ArtBell is back full-time on Sat./Sun. it will help pick-up the pace; --on the neg.side of things however, it is obvious that ArtBell especially is a dual-citizenship jew-Zionist agent perpetuating the phony 'HolaHoax', --but then that is what is presently controling the American-media! ~Bob vH in SanDiego Calif.

where is ART BELL ?? He is not even on the weekends anymore and Ian and George are not even close to being as entertaining as ART. George lets callers go on and on when Art would have pulled the plug...George is a woosie. I used to be an avid listener, but without ART even on the weekends, I am losing interest.

Good God, George Noory is without a doubt the dumbest radio host I have ever heard. And his comments get stupider as the night goes on. He actually posed the question: "If the universe is 13 and 1/2 billion years old, why are we (the earth) only 4 and 1/2 billion years old?" What the heck? Can't he figure out what any child knows, that different things are different ages, e.g., people, trees, solar systems, etc?

Like all shows it has its weaknesses and things that people don't like, but Bell is a MASTER of good radio, anyone that can manage a caller claiming to have been molested by a vampire/werewolf who manifested through a CB into a good call, has the chops. he is also like his successor, a brighter bulb on the xmas tree. His guests are generally great, and his interviews lead the guests to explain and present as much as they can about what they have to say. Like the topics or not, he handles them with expertise. I wish I could still lose sleep M-F listening.

Most folk would think talk radio on weekends wouldn't work due to the fact that 1/2 of us take a break from all the stress and labor during the weekdays, but Coast to Coast AM (with Art Bell) is something worth our listening time, especially after midnight. You'll hear lots of info on the great unknowns of our time from Art's guests and callers. Yeah, most of the theories are outrageous and unreal, but what do you expect on talk radio after 12:00 AM? Get your tastes of the weird on either Art or Georges's shows, maybe even both (at least 1 hour for George from Tuesday-Thursday, remember that daily grind beginning in the morning). Check your local stations for both shows and times (they can delay them, which is not even necessary).
