I recommend that you try a bag for your own evaluation, not everyone has the same preferences. With that said, here's my review: A few years ago, I embarked on a mission to research which cat litter worked the best, with value in mind. I read reviews, made a survey sheet, and then one-by-one, tried each brand. I tried clumping, nonclumping, crystals, pellets, wheat, corn, corncob, newspaper, wood, I-don't-know-what, and every clay on the market. I chose a regular brand, but had to compromise clumping strength and odor control for flushability and price. I wasn't thrilled. So 4 months ago, when I first saw a bag of Odor Lockers, I had to talk myself into giving it a try. Now I want a PR job with the company because I can't stop recommending it to everyone. RATINGS BY CATEGORY ~~~~~~ --PRICE: medium (.66/lb. aka $9.98 for 15/lb. bag at Pet Supplies Plus) --CLUMPING: excellent strength; adds value as all litter can be used because there's no bits to contaminate; clumps do not sti... The unscented version is wonderful; the scented version seems much more dusty and smells of chemical-y pine. Unfortunately, my store quite carrying the unscented version!

I have a 4 cat household and OdorLockers is the best litter by far for controlling odor. I can get it through my local Kroger store and I have discussed trying to get it at WalMart with the pet department manager--he's tryingto order it for me! My cats and my family appreciate the odorless litterboxes that are easier to maintain.

I have been using this for sometime also, but sadly the product has become more and more dusty. The store I purchased it at no longer carries the unscented version which I was using too, which was not so dusty. The amount of dust is horrible. I have to keep a plunger next to my toilet, as larger clumps will not go down. I am now chopping the larger clumps up before flushing to avoid the plugging. Also, does anyone know exactly the type of 'recycled' wood materials that are used, because I am wondering about "treated" woods and chemical exposures.

I've been "trying" to use this product for a while now and the last 5 bags I've gotten have had something wrong with them. 3 were almost all dust (very few granules) and 2 had no deodorizer. I'm writing the company a letter because they were bought over a couple of month's time and between 3 different stores (Publix in FL). Before all this happened, the 1st couple of bags I had were wonderful as far as clumping & odor control goes. I was not happy with how dusty they were considering the bag says "99 percent dust free", though. I've had to literally chip dried dust out of my kitty's nose and take her to the vet once for a swollen eye, due to the dust. I hope they get serious and start checking their product better or I will have to go on the search again.

Wow!! There is absolutely no odor with this litter. I tried the Arm & Hammer Multi Cat litter with a stray that we have taken in and it just wasn't getting the job done. Read the reviews here and gave it a shot. Awesome odor control.

This is the BEST CAT LITTER EVER! Have been using it for about two years, now Safeway stopped distributing it in California - WHY? Can't find it anywhere, my cat is losing her mind - I'll mail order from anywhere - does anyone have any ideas?

I was so unhappy when Petsmart discontinued this cat litter that I called the manufacturer! A little company in Mocksville, NC. I found out that Pet Supplies Plus is pretty much the only supplier in Illinois, & if you give them a call or go in and speak to the manager you can request they order Odor Lockers for you.(As they don't normally carry it in stock.)I ordered 4 bags and reorder when I get down to the last one, it arrives in about a week! I hope this information helps

So, I read everyone's comments before me and thought I'd try this out. I din't particularly like it because it doesn't clump very well at all. I'm the type that cleans out the box every single night and every night the clumps would break apart on the edges and leave lots of wet looking crumbs in the litter box. They were too small for me to grab with the normal scoop. I even had another scoop that had smaller sifters on it, but the size of the litter is very large (larger than most I've seen) and it wouldn't sift in my 2nd scooper without me taking out a whole bunch of litter with it. I am disappointed and will try and search for another brand.

We adopted a stray male cat about two months ago. He was not neutered, and we tried that Fresh Step. It was absolutely worthless. We shopped around, and decided to give Odor Lockers a try. I cannot give enough praise to the makers of this product. It is just the BEST cat litter out on the market. Clean up is a breeze, odor is minimal, if at all, and 'Chopper' loves it. He has since been neutered, so the smell is not as bad anyway, but I will not buy any other litter as long as I have a cat. This one has me hooked. And pricewise, I have to go a good distance to get it, (50 miles), but for $4.99 a box, it is worth the trip. Patricia Boe, Independence, WI USA

This is the BEST cat litter I have ever used. I have three cats (two of which mostly use the same pan) and it lasts the longest of anything else I have tried. I cannot go without my Odor Lockers. It seems the stores can't keep it in stock, either. I find myself having to search all over the place for this. I tell strangers in the stores how much I love this product when they seem to be searching for a cat litter for their new pets. Good job on making this product. Kudos to you! K. Jones California

The best! Controls odor really well and doesn't just cover it up with perfumes. I like that it's wood core is recycled product and that the whole product is flushable and biodegradeable. Granules are a little larger so it doesn't track like finer granules do.
