    "Therapy" for sexually repressed half-wits.

I'm sure Dr. Laura is a satisfying listen if you need a constant reminder of 50's era ideals. She has built a kingdom by regurgitating the same bullshit over and over again with varying degrees of condescension and shrillness. Fortunately, I think her fans exist in isolation of the Real World, so she's relatively easy to ignore.

I had heard of her before and I listened to a bit of her shows. It is just not very interesting usually. Today I just had it on and it was unbelievable. A woman had called in and Dr. Laura was repeating "what is the question." That might be necessary to keep order but it was kind of rude. Then the woman was having problems with a guy with problems drinking and all. The woman wanted to go with another man. Dr. Laura told her no, since she married him and had three children. It seemed really unfair to me and silly. The guy had problems. Oh, and the rest I remember. Dr. Laura said that a guy willing to marry a woman with three children was probably a pedophile. That might be true in some small sense but not for all.

Didn't read any of her other reviews. I have listened to her when I want a good laugh or a good cry (for how she treats her average caller). She should have been born in Victorian England since she only believes divorce is an option if a woman is being beaten up and you never ever date if you are divorced until your kids are grown. Why callers are continually taken aback by her caustic, scathing advice is beyond me since I've listened to her maybe a dozen times and know what she is all about. She has to be the most miserable, sad human on the planet to dole out that spiteful, hateful advice to people that are misguided enough to call her.

Some good messages delivered by a self appointed goddess. Her voice makes me start hitting radio buttons to make it go away!

The only person giving out worse advice is Dr. Phil. But she is more bigoted.

Entertaining when she rips the fawning callers ( "Oh thank you Doctor Laura for taking my call" )...a new one. Or in many cases, a new several.

Dr. Laura should have been this active 40 years ago when I was growing up! Maybe then I would not have screwed up my life as much as I did! She tells it like it should be for a better society.

This dragon lady is a biggot, racsist, and homophobic,! Don't belive it? check her out on the net in back news reports. I also can't see how anyone who needs sex advise would ask a conservative christian for help either. You know shes condeming her callers under her breath while they are on the phone.

I love this show. Dr. Laura is that friend we all wish we had but dread having: She's not afraid to thump callers upside the head with brutal professional honesty and set them straight. If everyone listened to this show we would all save a lot of time and heartache in life.

A hilarious smack-down to all the Spock babies of the Me-generation. It's good to see the old ways, which contained much wisdom, brought out in such an exciting, in-your-face style. A much needed smack of reality to people caught up in their own fantasy.

Although self-help radio isn't my favorite, Dr. Laura is entertaining. I love it when someone calls in looking for approval and gets stepped on.

Rarely have I heard such arrogance, ignorance and insuperable smugness spewed by one person. Oh, and I understand she's not a REAL doctor.

This show at one time had a novel entertainment value. As judged by the rock bottom ratings she currently has along with numerous stations dumping the show, Dr. Laura has seen better days. The show hasn't really prgressed in the past few years and people have grown tiresome of it. To make matters worse, Dr. Laura herself is hardle practicing what she preaches. Sleeping with a program manager to get her first radio gig? Doesn't sound like something today's Dr. Laura would approve of. Dhe won't be on much longer, so it's not that big of a deal anyway.

Imagine finding an actual role model in the commercial media business! Dr. Laura Schlessinger is an inspiration for anyone who is willing to open their mind and admit that maybe they can, and should, take responsibility for their own life. No, she is not 'perfect', and neither is any one of the rest of us. Her show is 'an acquired taste', and it is not possible to make a fair judgment of the show without listening to it for at least a week, and probably a month.

Once Laura was funny and witty, but of course was given the 'Talk by clear channel execs....remove all entertainment value from thy program or cease to exist. Of course it din't take much arm twisting of DR. shave my beaver, funny how million dollar radio contracts turn interesting people into repressive overbearing cretins.

Anyone who takes advice from this quack Doctor needs to get their head examined. She is the most shrill of the right wing succubi, and her advice is frequently personally and societally damaging.

I don't which is worse, the whiny callers or the insensitive host. I just barely can take the phony doctor's voice for the ten seconds it takes to change channels when I turn on the car and she just happens to be there.

This woman is one of the biggest bigots I've ever heard. She's spouting off un-original, zealot ideas that are only designed to hurt people. Only other right-wing zealots find any substance in her dribble.
