Can not believe she is still working in television. She needs to move on and stop draging Court TV down.

I love her reporting style but she has substance as well. Her depth of coverage was good; her topic selection excellent. Sure she was controversial, but what good reporter isn't. Plus I have to admit she's more of a fox than any on FOX...at least to me!

She has been sorely missed. A truly great reporter with impeccable insight and empathy. She is deeply missed and we hope she is well.

Last year she was welcomed to NORAD to do her interest piece. After her commie-pinko soul was exposed, if she showed up at the gate again, she'd be turned away.

I think she's sexy. I'd like to make love to her so hard that her glasses fall off.

It's over for Ashleigh Banfield. I heard she desperately needed a job so she applied at a Vons in Century City. But get this, she was turned down! However, her eyeglasses were hired and are now working in the produce department.

This nitwit spawned a a whole unfortunate fashion trend with those dorky, pseudo-intellectal, I want to be appreciated for my mind, eyeglasses.

Glad she's not around. A total idiot who's more suited to hosting Cheaters or Elimidate. She has the journalistic integrity of Clark Kent. See ya!

There is not one newsworthy event that occurred that Ashleigh was not on top of. She pursued it with tenacity and a desire not to be just the first on the story, but to deliver the store accurately. My favorite newsreporter in my 55 years.

When Ashleigh had a show on NBC (short-lived though it was), which followed Today, I sent her a fan letter (I almost NEVER do that!). Well, it took almost a year, but she sent me an autographed 8 x 10 glossy. It hangs PROUDLY on my bedroom wall, to this day. In my letter, I opined, whoever said women with glasses, never get passes, NEVER saw you! Look, Ashleigh is a no b.s. kind of a lady, plus she's from Canada (NOT to be messed with); do I think she got the shaft from MSNBC? Yeah, BIG TIME! I subscribe to all the positive things other people have said about Ashleigh on this site. Bottom line, she's a gutsy broad (I think she'd approve of that tag!) who didn't flinch when she was sent to a war zone (Afghanistan). She reported through the chaos of 9/11, too. No, not from a comfy studio, from Ground Zero. Ashleigh Banfield can share a foxhole with me, ANYTIME! Best of luck wherever you are, Specs.

Here is the deal. Ashleigh is a brilliant journalist. She is not afraid to speak her mind. Like it or not she is intelligent, articulate, compassionate, and yes beautiful. Letting her go, whether she left or was fired was not a good a move. Ill watch whatever network she is on.

If it was two years ago, I would give her a higher rating. Now, after what I've heard about her behavior at (MS)NBC I rate her a one.

News readers like this come and go all the time. The trick is to not alienate or embarrass the people, few though they may be, who can throw your butt out in the street any time they want. Ashleigh either didn't realize that or tried to defy reality. She'll resurface, wiser and initially a bit more humble.

I purchased MSNBC specifically to see Asleigh give great reporting from places I will never see. No one has replaced that kind of journalism and I really miss seeing her. She gives a clear perspective of world events. I really miss her!!

Whatever else Ashleigh Banfield is or is not, LoudKidB, she is hardly quite the 'American Girl' since she was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, on December 29, 1967. You suffer from the same shortcoming that many of the anchors who prove daily that they are not journalists have - a shoot-from-the-hip cockiness common from so lofty a vantage point without the benefit of facts or research. But didn't it make a tight, sexy sound bite?

A consummate professional in her chosen field of endeavor. At the present time she is greatly missed by many in the cable news viewing audience...her integrity and on-the-go spirit are infectious; her refined empathy for those less fortunate emanates from every journalistic pore!

Did a wonderful job reporting on 9/11, afganistan, all related stories plus Elizabeth Smart. NBC (Nauseating Boys Club) are idiots for letting Ashleigh go. She brought in ratings and they treated her like S***! I hope another network grabs her before she decides to quit all together!

I am disappointed that we won't see more in-depth, on location type of reports from Ashleigh Banfield. The first time I noticed her was during coverage of the War in Afghanistan. The work her and her crew did during that time was top knotch.

Everybody seems to think Ashleigh was fired from NBC. In truth NBC and Ashleigh couldn't reach agreement on a new contract. Ashleigh worked without a contract for 2 months before both sides agreed to part ways. This doesn't sound like a fring to me. She'll land on her feet someplace.

Many of you are missing the point the reason why she was let go @ NBC. It was NOT because of showing the Arab POV, it was because of her conduct after the break-up of Shuttle Columbia over TX. Apparently, the travel agency screwed up her hotel reservations in Nacogdoches,TX, the epicenter of the search for the wreckage. When she reached check-in, the young lady behind the counter said she did not have a room, wherein Banfield basically dog-cussed the girl @ the counter, throwing out enough f-bombs for a dozen people and in front of other reporters, who took sympathy on the poor girl, who was on a work-study progam @ Stephen F. Austin. This got back to 30 Rock, and when Jim Cummins was doing nothing more than rewording press releases from the authorities and the other networks getting scoops, Banfield was ordered back to NYC, wherein she was dog-cussed by the head honchos, including CEO Robert Wright. At this meeting, Banfield was told her contract would not be renewed in '04. She is pr... Read more

She was at the right place at the right time (the most horrific event in U.S. history), otherwise just another pretty talking head. Her in-country reports in Afghanastan and Iraq made me think she was a Geraldo with Breasts. NBC canned her cute Canadian derriere and she has vanished without a trace.
