The guy defines the term edgy.  Next to him Dennis Leary looks like Mr. Rogers.

So hilarious! He quickly became one of my favorite comics. =]

Single handedly changed my entire way of thinking...and made me laugh my ass off when he talked abut electric siccors.

The first comic in nearly a decade to even approach Bill Hicks in weaving brutal honestly with absolute hilarity. How the hell John Candy is ranked higher I'll never know.

Cross is funny. but you only need to see him once.

From Mr. Show to his stand up of today he only gets better. He points out the obvious and forces the ignorant to remove their blinders. He owns the stage.

I like the guy that gave him a 2, then asks who? in his comment. That is exactly the kind of person who would not be able to understand David Cross. I don't know. It just seems perfect somehow. Anyway, yeah, he's great. Bob Odenkirk (sp?), too. Where is Doug Stanhope on this list, though?

I cracked a huge smile to see that David Cross was at the top of the comedians list. In my personal opinion, he and Bob Odenkirk, and everything associated with them, is/are absolutely awesome. David Cross and his stand-up is very obviously great, but then there's Mr. Show, Tenacious D, and The Ben Stiller Show, which David either acted in or co-wrote. David Cross, one half of Bob and David, is absoultely genius.

From his work on Mr. Show to his latest HBO special, David Cross has been consistently intelligent, accurate and utterly hilarious. Those who would label him as simply offensive are too daft to follow the underlying points of his comedy.

David is not only a superb monologist but a very smart and perceptive political and social commentator. He is the Lenny Bruce of our era. Plus he's [email protected]#ing hot.

David Cross is hilarious. I saw him at a Comedy Club a few months ago and found myself laughing from the beginning to the end of his set, along with the rest of the audience.

He was hilarious on Mr. Show, he's hilarious doing stand-up. His comedy matters. He's offensive because the world is offensive.

Anyone who can make 9-11 funny deserves five stars in my book. Kudos to David Cross for venting his anger toward all of the phony patriotism and terrorist propaganda using humor.

I agree, David has got balls the size of big balls. No topic is taboo, and everything is funny!
