We purchased this pool back in June thinking our 8 yr. old daughter would love it. She swam in it only a handful of times. The pool we purchased DID NOT have the drain plug. We thought it would have given the size and other reviews. We had to either use buckets to drain the water or deflate it then refill it again. If you cover the pull it does help to keep bugs and dirt out a little, but even when my daughter washed her feet off before getting in the pool dirt and bugs still got in. It was a pain to keep clean. This pool was not worth the money or time we spent refilling and cleaning it. We actually ended up just throwing it out last week. The seller should send out only one kind of pool and SPECIFY if it has the drain or not. It is a very nice size though and the material is good quality for the price. It held up during the many times our daughter sat on the side. There was enough room in the pool for our family of 4. Our daughter played more with the other water toys. In the fut... Read more

I should have read the reviews before I purchased this pool. THERE IS NO DRAIN PLUG as advertised. I already have a pool with no drain plug, don't need another. Now I have to go thru the hassle of returning it. I am not a happy Camper. C. Brewer

This pool was more expensive than the same pool at Target, and did not have a water emptying valve.

The biggest concern from most reviewers is the lack of a drain plug. You can easily syphon the water out instead by using about four feet of garden hose. Even if the pool had a drain plug it would be difficult to drain the pool with just the drain plug. At the bottom of this review I am including some basic directions for syphoning. We purchased one of these at the beginning of summer, and the pool has made it through the summer while withstanding a lot of abuse from our children and their friends. We have a swing set, and we located this under the slide. It is a lot of fun for the kids to slide into the pool. When not sliding into the pool, four or five children can play in it with room to spare. The instructions say not to fill the pool all the way up to the top, but we routinely fill it near the top and this has not caused a problem. The easiest way to fill the pool up with air is to use the exhaust of a wet/dry vacuum. The ports for filling this with air are sized t... Read more

Pool is good size for two adults to hang out, or three or four kids to splash about. My number one complaint is no drain plug. This would normally not be an issue, but the pool is heavy when filled, and trying to lift it it is nothing short of slap stick comedy. If you are just going to leave it filled this pool is is a decent choice. If, like us, you need to dump it out because the kids are too young to be around it unattended, then..Id look for a drain plug version.
