This is the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. I was flipping through the channels one day and ran into this stuff. Maybe it doesn't do children any harm, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't do them any good.

I wish I could rate it with absolutely no stars at all! This show is pointless and has no educational value whatsoever! I don't mean to be rude, but the teletubbies, especially tinky winky seem gay. Children should not be victims by watching this. I would not let my child watch this.

There simply isn't a rating low enough for this show. I wouldn't subject my kids to this show because I would like them to grow up to be intelligent adults.

I have found Teletubbies to be a gentle program aimed at very small children. I think one reason why so many other reviewers find it unfavorable is they may be comparing it to other children's programs such as Sesame Street. Teletubbies seems to be a warm up for viewing other educational shows later. Teletubbies is simply not that advanced. I found nothing sinister in either the premise of the show or its characters, nor did I find anything that could be disguised as a subliminal message. It reaches three and four year olds on their level. Kids who are that age are amused by the simple pleasures of life such as running around or bread that pops out of the toaster and lands on their plate. Some of the segments seem to be a just a kid's imagination brought to the screen such as a body of water appearing from nowhere, three ships sail by and then after a minute or so they disappear as does the water when the scene is through. There is usually a segment early in the show which often demons... Read more

This show is the gayest thing I've ever seen in my life. The ugly creatures jump around and bop each other like homosexuals. Oh and then there's the ugly baby face in the sky.

This is probably the dumbest and biggest waste of airtime on TV for kids. Of the 2 shows I saw, it teaches children nothing. They don't even use words! I couldn't even watch the whole thing. It made me ill. There are many other childrens shows out there for them to watch that are better. But if Teletubbies is the only thing on at the time, turn it off. Instead, read to your kids, go outside and play with them, even let them play on your computer... do ANYTHING but have them sit and watch that stupid show. The producers should be ashamed of themselves. I NEVER even let my kids watch it once. I always screen kids' shows first before figuring out if MY kids will watch it. And this was an easy decision: NO NO NO! NO WAY.

I have a friend who told me he once saw the show, and was quite disturbed by it's content. The sight of a baby in the sun, who googles and gigs, and pointless plots, make this a painful show to watch. This show would make an excellent interregation device, something to use at Abu Ghabi.

Now this is one weird children's show. If you haven't seen it, the show starts with the sun (a smiling, gurgling, laughing baby face) rising and the Teletubbies popping out of an underground home. A little telescope-like speaker rises up and announces, "Time for Teletubbies, time for Teletubbies!" Then the Teletubbies start dancing around, bumping into each other, and making strange babbling noises that babies seem to understand. There are segments on colors and other basic concepts, and they include a feature showing children doing familiar, interesting things (e.g. feeding chickens on a farm). The langauge is pretty basic, and the show relies heavily on baby humor, especially "uh-oh" moments like falling down, dropping things, etc. At the end of the show, the Teletubbies pop back down into their underground home, and then they come out for one last goodbye (a very nice feature for little kids). When you're zoned out early in the morning, watching this show can actually be kind of rel... Read more
