Star Wars Galaxies

I've played this game off and on for several years. The only reason I've played it, was because it was the only Star Wars MMO. It was a good game, but the game went slowly downhill. None of that matters really now, since Lucas Arts cut ties with Sony, and all the servers will shut down in December.

I've had this game since 2006 though i just installed it today (lol). I must say it is possibly the greatest online game ever. I think this may be better than WoW. Think of this game as a combination of Knights of the old republic and Battlefront. Pro's: ~ Large worlds ~ active community of players ~ 90 levels, very deep gameplay ~ massive roleplay base for people, some of the greatest rp I have ever seen is here ~ Makes you feel like you're in the actual Star Wars universe ~ Lots of variety - that variety can be anything you want it to be ~ Free mounts! you never thought you'd see that here, you get your first at lvl 5 once you land on Tatooine. ~ Join the Rebels or the Empire ~Several races / classes to choose from Cons: ~ Limited pay options. It is almost impossible to find a game time card, so your best bet is to use a credit or debit card.

One thing sums up my rating- "NGE"

What I like about this game is that there are so many choices, you have your own home, own person, you can get merried, to me I would say its a star wars versoin of the sims, but you can go to your work and their is a lot more action, though there are many problems that need to be worked out, it is a good way to take the stress of real life off you and start getting in to your game,

Long time vet of the game here! In 2003, the best online game ever. In 2004, Still the best, but needing some work in a few areas In 2005, totally made a bad decision to change the game. In late 2005, worse decision in the history of online gaming to totally make the game into a complete different game. It's so different now, that only way I can describe it is like you go to the store and bought a nice new sports car, take it to the shop for a needed tune up, get it back and it's now complete different brand, color and the performance is not equal to what a sports car should be, but more like a family SUV or Van.
