I joined this site explicitly so I could also say that SpamArrest SUCKS! I've been going on 4 hours now tracking emails -- where did they go? I thought another email client may have been POP'ing them and that's why they aren't showing up in my SpamArrest inbox, but not the case. I changed my email password, and sure enough emails started piling up in my webmail. As soon as I updated the password in SpamArrest, my emails disappeared from my webmail --- thinking, OK, now they've got to be in my SpamArrest inbox. NOTHING. NOWHERE. My email address is even an "authorized" email. Worse yet, I sent an email two days ago and no response. Even worse, no phone number on their contact page. They boast "You can reach Spam Arrest by using the the any of the methods below", which what it should really say is "You can reach SpamArrest by email" seeing how all the "methods" are only email. I'm scrappin this service and setting up gmail as my spam intermediary. Faster web interface, more clean, mor... Read more

It is another internet scam. I never signed up at all and they charge my American Express every month at 5.95, which I have charges reversed avery month. Once a year they charge me 29.95 which I also get discharged. I called them and they told me to "F" off in no uncertain terms! Join me Friday nights 6pm Pacific, at www.bbsradio.com on my radio show to discuss them and other internet Scams. Thanks Dr. Fred Bell

This service SUCKS! Why? Because of their lack of three things: First, their web site provides absolutely no information on how to UNINSTALL and escape from their service (too late for me!) Second, they do not respond promptly to email queries and if you want their phone number you'll have to subscribe and pay them for it (what a fraud!) Third, they don't tell you that their service is NOT COMPATIBLE with many email servers. I used a net-based email called Horde and within minutes of applying SpamArrest, ALL of my saved email was sent to SpamArrest's serves and never seen again. THEY STOLE MY EMAIL and provided NO INFORMATION on how to get it back. Bottom line: NEVER use this service...it's NO SERVICE.

If you had asked me about 2 weeks ago, before MS Blast hit the Web, I would have given SpamArrest 5 stars - no question. The thing I like about it is that you never have to worry about false positives (e-mail labeled as spam that isn't) or false negatives (e-mail labeled as legit that isn't), because Spam Arrest doesn't guess. It makes real people identify themselves as such, and it does it in a way that isn't too much of a burden. In the past two weeks or so, it's clear that SpamArrests servers have been overrun with virus infected spam. The result has been scary - it's difficult to get through to the SpamArrest servers, e-mail gets delayed, and it is extremely time consuming to check unverified mail. The problem with a Web based service is that you are basically dependent on a third party staying up to get your e-mail - on the flip side, it's an extremely convenient, easy to use, intuitive service that doesn't make mistakes. I'm sticking with it. And at $20 for 6 months, it's to... Read more
