Love it! Especially on a beautiful fall day, when there is a crisp, cool breeze blowing through the stately oaks, with their colorful leaves, and the towering pines, with the bell tower in the background -- all under a glorious Carolina Blue sky. The new additions of the west endzone seating and the new fieldhouse and training facility are testaments to a revived interest in Tarheel football, which received a big boost under coach Mack Brown, now at Texas. When you combine Kenan Stadium, Chapel Hill, Franklin Street, fraternity parties, beautiful campus and beautiful coeds, you can't beat the total football experience at the University of North Carolina. I have been going to games in Chapel Hill, many with my Dad, a late-thirties graduate and freshman football player, since I was a kid. It's one of the best parts of "the Southern part of heaven!" Go Heels!

more excitement at a lacrosse game, seriously. and what the hell is lacrosse? NC State games, ECU games, Wake Forest games, App St games and NC A&T; games are all better uses of your time than a tarheel game. Keep talkin up the next basketball season though, please. I'll keep pulling for the Bluedevils

One of the most beautiful stadiums I have every been to. Fans are good. Team is average. Great college town. It is one of the places I look forward to go - even as a fan of a visiting team. Get some tradition and it could be much better.

Very very beautiful stadium and nice fans to fill it up with as well. One of the best college towns and campuses I've ever seen. The only thing that is holding me back from giving ya'll a 5 is the atmosphere was a little lacking, and when an important defensive drive occurred the fans weren't as loud as they could have been.

This is a great college atmosphere. Goes to prove you don't need to have the biggest stadium to be one of the best. Too bad they can't get a team together...

Whatever the reason or reasons North Carolina can't build and keep a good football program, it certainly is not due to a lack of facilities. There is an old saying on campus that Kenan Stadium can't be built higher than the trees. While it is my understanding that this is a local myth, one wouldn't know it as there is plenty of green (trees and all) surrounding and (more often than not) peaking over the Uecker seats to check out the game. Located in the middle of campus, Kenan is within easy walking distance of every dormitory and Franklin Street (the main commercial, restaurant and nightlife area of Chapel Hill). The campus location does create the infamous parking problems; however, the lack of parking has been mostly alleviated by new construction. Finally, the recent renovations and improvements have brought plenty of diverse concessions (though still relatively expensive) and finally created an upper concourse that serves both sides of the stadium (whereas before one had to w... I'm used to going to games at huge stadiums, but Kenan is a really nice stadium for not being 75K+. Great setting, good layout, good sights, not so good football, but it's one of the best in the ACC.
