08/15/2003 | Under-appreciated, little known all female band - at least in the U.S. Lead guitarist Kelly Johnson perhaps the best female hard rock/metal guitarist of all time. But more than excellent musicianship - this British band were exceptional songwriters as evidenced on such classic albums as Hit and Run and Screaming Blue Murder. Known as Motorhead's sister band - the two groups toured and recorded with each other numerous times. For those unfamiliar with the band's sound, their a bit like a cross between ACDC, Motorhead, Judas Priest, though not in any rip-off kind of a way. Classic tracks such as The Hunter, Yeah Right, Nothing to Lose, Hit and Run and numerous others - stand on there own - in any company.
