Closer is a wonderful album and Joy Division is another of the bands in the highest throngs of the 1980s. Isolation is probably my favorite song by Joy Division.0

Along with the Smiths, JOY DIVISION/NEW ORDER is the best band of all time. Their music is ageless and it will never die. Only a few people can truly understand these songs, and those people are so special. I really wish New Order would come to Florida, I would just freak out ! We LOVE YOU BERNARD !!!! Joy Division are incredible music, finding beauty in abject ugliness, and vice versa. The only reason I'm giving them a 4 instead of a 5 is because they (along with Bauhaus) unleashed a generation of elitist goth a$$hole$ who write bad poetry and hang out at the mall and sulk. 1

Speaking of Joy Division, they got their name from a Book called the Doll House, about the women kept in concentration camps. They were held in an area, used for R&R for Nazi soldiers called the joy division. No kidding. Gotta' love it. 1
