Proving White as much the distorted pop guitar visionary as Cobain with a case of Blues, Elephant's focused fuzz, emanating endlessly from his twangy, intuitive touch, marks a rehashed retro revival rock scene with class.

Like most white stripes albums, Elephant has great songs and weak songs. They have a great writing ability but the performance is, sometimes lacking. Overall, though, I'm a big fan.

There have alread been plenty of reviews on this one, so I'll just mention a few things. This cd contains 14 great songs. Some highlights include: "Seven Nation Army", "Ball & Biscuit", "The Hardest Button to Button", "Little Acorns", "Girl You Have No Faith in Medicine", and "Well it's True That we Love one Another" (with guest vocalist - Holly Golighty. Jack is a great guitar player, and Meg really pounds those drums!!! This is a great CD, and I recommend it. Thanks!!!!

Elephant is a pretty much perfect rock album. Jack really shows his musical range, how far he's willing to go how far he's willing to push that res-o-glass Airliner of his. This album is worth buying for "Ball And Biscuit" by itself, that song is seven minutes of pure blues/rock fury and it will never get old, its insane how much loud and how dynamic the guitar work is here. Jack really put his thing down this time. I love "Little Acorns" its like 80's vocals meets modern heavy metal, but comes off really smooth. I gotta say I think this is my favorite Stripes album. "Hypnotise" is a perfect dance rock song and definitely one of my top favorite songs ever. You people have to stop complaining about Megs drumming, Jacks singing etc., gotta remember The Stripes are stripped down raw rock and blues roll. The music is simple, good time having fun. They're not trying to be shiny and poppy like most other bands. This is garage rock that is evolving into really good original music. Meg is actu... Read more

I give this album four stars just for Meg's impressive drumming alone. She really knows how to jam out on drums! Move over "Keith Moon", you've got some competition! Unfortunately, Jack White has no talent and makes this album crap, but Meg saves it. Bravo, Meg!

There is something seriously wrong with the reviewers on this site....COLDPLAY ahead of The White Stripes!!!!???!! Don't get me wrong Coldplay are good and have some lovely memorable songs, but they don't have that raw edge and creativity that The Stripes have.  Are you trying to tell me "The Scientist", "God Put a Smile on Your Face" and "Clocks" are better than "Seven Nation Army"?  I think not!

At last, an album which actually involves pure, raw talent that shows that the plastic, identical bands are not the only thing around. Its about time that we had an album that is unique. This album has a load of great foot tapping songs (and yes, you will mimic the guitar noises) Lets hope White Stripes are around for a long time

As im writing this, im listening to this album! I have rated about 25 albums in this catagory so far, and this one is deffinately the best one I have rated so far. The bass is great! plus, they have a great varity of music. Some music is accustic, some is hard rock. However, after hearing the album, Its amazing to find out that there were no computers, or anything in making the album, and only TWO people play the insturments. HIGHLY reccomended-Whatever your taste of music is!
