Let me preface this by stating that I missed out on the Megaman X and Megaman Zero games...by choice. Megaman was one of the first video games I played as a youngster, and I felt a great sense of accomplishment when I beat it. When the games in this series started shifting away from the original formula, I refused to play them because I'm a stubborn old gamer...but I decided that it had been way too long since I had a good Megaman adventure so I picked this one up at the urging of a friend of mine. This game is far different from the Megaman that I grew up with, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. The old-school Megaman games just gave you the option to select a stage with a certain boss that gave you a certain ability if you were able to win. I must say that the open-ended set-up for this game is great, Megaman finally gets the treatment it always deserved...this is an excellent game. The graphics are fantastic for this kind of game, I'm glad to see that more and more 2D side-scr... Read more

I have to admit I am unfortunatly a little out of touch with the Mega Man series. I have not played since the first four or so of the Mega Man X series. I loved the Mega Man X 1-3 games I thought they were great steps in the gameplay and world of Mega Man. Mega Man ZX Advent is basically the same in story as all other Mega Man games a big bad guy has plans for the world and you the player must stop them. I have only beaten the game on Beginner as Normal and Expert are much more difficult (probably my one caveat with the game) but found picking back up in gameplay intuitive and fun. The newish biometal system is cool, switching between different Mega Man styles is cool. Overall while the story is familiar the game is quite enjoyable and the visuals are great I highly recommend this game to anyone. A

This is possibly the best action game currently on ds next to ninja gaiden dragon sword. I've been a megaman fan for 6 years when i was 9 And i have to say this is the best action game. many forms for you to get including upgraded sprites of the former models. voice acting for every cutscene and enough action to last you a month. even includes easy mode for those who are new to the series, and normal for those who are accustomed to the series. This game features a new model A which can copy enemies like Axl from mega man X7and X8. Through it you copy forms such as the models from ZX and the boss which will help you progress through the game. This game has a great story line. Those who are new to the series should try this title before the first one. This game is for kids young to old, as well as for adults and megaman fans.Mega Man ZX: Advent

This game is more directed towards those gamers who have played Mega Man Zero 1-4 and the original Mega Man ZX. This game is difficult from the get-go, and it gets harder from there. Even then, it's actually EASIER than the aformentioned games. Normal mode isn't as hard as it's cracked up to be, but it is difficult. Here's the clincher; this game was meant and directed towards HARDCORE gamers; I truly do not recommend this game to anyone under the age of 15. This game is "nintendo hard." I myself loved this game due to it's balance of difficulty and the many different aspects of gameplay, but I give it a 3 rating because of the fact that not ALL gamers are HARDCORE gamers. I could have been biased and put a 5 because I myself loved it to death, but I gave it a 3 because it's not geared to the majority of gamers out there.

I got this game with my birthday money and it's a good game. I had never played the first Megaman ZX game and I'm glad I chose ZX Advent because if I had started with megaman ZX I probably wouldn't have chosen this game. It took me around 3 hours to beat this game not, counting the time it took when I had to restart due to losing lives. However, on my beginner mode, my gametime says around a few hours and I still haven't completed all the quests. Megaman ZX Advent has 3 modes, Beginner, Normal, and Expert. Beginner is for those who are playing ZX games for the first time. Normal is for those are used to it and even after I beat beginner mode a few times normal mode is still sometimes a pain even after beating it. While Expert Mode lives up to it's name. You only get 1 subtank throughout the game, and you don't get any health upgrades. Advent also has over 10 bosses you can play as using "A-Trans" to morph into them after you defeat them in battle, and it has one secret character you... Read more
