I have to agree with most of the other 3-star reviews. The concept of the game is amazing, but all the hype surrounding this game has failed to mention the lack of object interaction, failure of expected physics, and poor controls. If you are considering purchasing this game, you should just rent it. Some reviews have mentioned the lack of object interaction. If you have a broken-down vehicle, you can put a mechanic nearby it and he will just stand there. Put a driver in a stationary vehicle and he will just sit there. I felt that this actually limits creative solutions to puzzles. Probably 90% of the time, when I tried to be creative and come up with outlandish solutions, 1 of 2 things happened. Either the object I wanted wasn't in the dictionary, or the objects I created wouldn't interact correctly. Some people will try to convince you that the game is only limited by your imagination, but my imagination was actually limited by the game. Yes, I can glue things together that wouldn... Read more

I like the idea of being able to type anything into a game and be able to come up with a creative solution to it. It's an innovative idea. Yet, I agree with others, it came up short. Pros + Type a word in, and poof, what you type in is what you get. If it's a person, give the person a specific object and see what they do with it. Put two characters next to each other and see what they do to each other. + Lots of secret words and easter eggs. + Back to the Future area homage. Thought that was spiffy. + 10 puzzle areas. Some can be solved within a couple of seconds. + Customizable level editor and find a way to create your own puzzle. + Some of the numerous ways on killing Maxwell are enjoyable (when intentional). Accidental happenings can be funny too. Cons - Controls can be managable at times, but, for the most part.. frustrating! You'll try to do something in one area and Maxwell might just commit suicide without your permission. And yes, physics definitely don... Read more

If you love your family and like spending time with your friends, do not buy this game. When I first got it I was up until 2 AM in the morning playing it. I haven't done that since I was a teenager. My wife curious about what I was doing look over my shoulder. Soon she was shouting suggestions. I rolled my eyes at a few of her ideas, but her ideas were just as valid as mine. In one challenge my wife suggested "black hole". I doubted the game mechanics would account for that, but I tried it anyway. Sure enough it worked. We have been arguing over who gets the DS because we have only one. I may have to break down and get a second one.
