I have been the biggest Syracuse fan since I was five years old because Billy Owens is from my hometown. To be honest, though, my favorite played who ever played for Syracuse is Gerry. He is amazing and it has been so heartbreaking to watch him sit on the bench with his injury and watching the team struggle the way it has. I wanted them to win another championship this year for Gerry but we'll be lucky if we make it to the tourney this year. I have to tell you all though that Josh Pace was the person who kept us in the National Chammpionship in the second half. He never did get the credit he deserved. Just wanted to put that comment in there.

I have been a huge Syracuse fan since I was five which was quite awhile ago. I've been watching them since the days of Billy Owens (he's from my hometown.) Anyway, I have to say my fave player ever is G-Mac. He has the heart of a lion and it has been so heartbreaking seeing him being injured this year and the team just not living up to it's potential. I wanted them to win another national championship with year for Gerry but we are struggling so bad that I don't even know if they will make it to the tourney. Anyway, God bless G-Mac but to be honest with everyone Josh Pace was really who kept us in the National Championship game. Pace never ever got the credit he deserved and I hope he is doing well.

Liked his game as a freshman/sophomore but as talent left SU, he hasnt been quite the same player. He's still a great player and I'd want him on my team.

F Mcnamara. All I heard was what a great shooter he was, and all I saw him do was miss. He'd be like 2 for 11 from 3 and throw one up, and the commentator would be like, McNamara for 3! all excited as if it was going in. I'm sick of this thinking how every white dude that hits a 3 every once in a while is a great shooter. F him. He couldn't hit Christina Aguilera. Check my new weblist about REAL shooters.

dude gerry mcnamara is phenominal. i love him not just for his looks although that would be enough but for his skill. his ability to play the game is the hottest thing in the world to watch. he works his heart out and what i noticed and really liked was how he was willing to give his teammates a chance to take the shot before he would do it himself. that's what makes a great pointguard. he makes my heart race when i watch him on the floor. number 3 definitely eserves to held up high in the dome after he graduates.

I had always assumed that Gerry McNamara was this scrappy white kid - not overly gifted physically, but able to compete in D1 because of his pure jump shot, hard nosed style, and handle. That's not the case. The guy is a freakish athlete. I saw him in warm ups at the Big East tourney catching lob after lob with two hands and throwing it down, occasionally from a vertical jump. At 6'2, there's just not many folks who can do this. I had no idea.

starting to see nba potential , now that groin injury is healing...more of a creator type than a shooting guard in the nba likely.....probably not the 6'2listed but heart makes him much bigger...2nd round pick likely per draft experts.......6 years as an nba back up followed by assistant to boeheim and then taking cuse head coach spot......go gmac...continue to make scranton proud

Should not be ahead of Felton. In the last 3 games, with a severely sprained wrist, Felton has 29 assist to only 3 turnovers.
