This is a great degreaser and cleanser for dishes. It generates enough suds. This will dry out your hands, but I'm not a fan of the rubber gloves. Next, I may be willing to try some of the more natural products

You don';t put this near your eyes or it will burn them because it is soap. Otherwise its a fine product.

I tried everything to remove mascara from white pillowcases, spray and wash, detergent with bleach - nothing worked. Even though the pillowcases had been washed several times - and you gotta figure the stain is there for good, Dawn worked like magic, I'm using it in the laundry room from now on.

I browsed to this site in a search to find out why Dawn doesn't cut GREASE anymore. It doesn't say it on the bottle anymore, and it doesn't DO it anymore. What happened. Only thing I could figure was that the grease-cutting ingredient was either too expensive, or dangerous and it was taken out. Maybe my stores just don't carry the original. Anyone know?

ok .. they put the good old Dawn in a fancy bottle, and then water down some old dawn and leave it in the old bottle. The old one in the new bottle is 3 times the price of what it was for the same exact product. Sure you think its better because the watered down stuff in the old bottle does not work as good anymore. Cut the TV ads and lower the prices. Most moms have their favorites they use and already have it on the shopping lists without any help from the TV, that is untill we get to the store and see the price of one bottle is almost what the national minimum is set for some hourly workers. One hour worked for a bottle of soap. For those who cannot relate to the hourly thing, can you relate to the 12 minutes of our favorite show we now have left to watch out of the 30 minute air time due to the over rated ads on tv now days????

I have used Dawn for too many years to count and love it. The last one I bought was Dawn Ultra and it is nowhere as good - it doesn't hold up through washing all of my dishes. I'm afraid they will discontinue the original and I will be forced to use something else.

I have used Dawn for dishes for quite sometime now it cuts through grease so fast and you should try it on clothing that has grease or makeup or other things..Use dawn and a toothbrush on the cloths and watch the stain disappear It's really good stuff..

As previously stated by another poster; Dawn is NOT a pet shampoo. However; It's great on dishes! Lots of other uses too! Try a can of beer, a Tbls. of dawn & warm water in a hose end sprayer. Spray the lawn to speed up mulch decomposition & green up your lawn. REALLY WORKS!

I learned to add a few drops of Dawn to a wash bowl of water to wash windows from the local gas station. It's what they use in their windshield washing solution. It works great. Put on with a cloth or sponge and wipe off with paper towels or a terry cloth towel. Window washing has never been so easier and the windows look great. No streaks.

Dawn is a very good detergent for cutting grease not only on dirty dishes but dirty greasy hands as well.

I think this product is terrible, it makes my eyes burn. My cat's eyes burned as well. I would not recomend this product for the washing of any animals eyes. It works well on dishes though.

Dawn used to be my favorite, but the last I got was not nearly as good. I need to add so much more to do the dishes. I've had others tell me the same thing. What happened to your product? Anyway I've switched to Palmolive and am very happy with it.

So good detailers recommend it for stripping wax off cars before applying new wax.

I've never had any problem with Dawn brand dish detergent--it has a pleasant smell, it cleans well, and rinses off pretty clean.

Dawn dishwashing soap has the richest lather of any brand, in my opinion. More suds than any! I like the antibacterial variety of Dawn dishsoap..but all clean well, and cut grease.
