He is a miserable newsman. Does he honestly know anything about what he's talking about? He comes across as a deer in headlights most of the time...at least to me. Then again, the Fox morning crew is filled with idiots, too. Unfortunately, I can't take the liberal slant of the other Satellite/Cable news networks (minus Bloomberg)...so I'm stuck with Fox...which, at times, is way too liberal for me, as well.

He is a good reader and has a decent vocabulary, but pretending to be seasoned when they are not, is the most offensive characteristic among TV "Journalists" today. Thank God Bill and Daryn Kagan were put out to pasture. I am only offended that he is still on the air at all. OK, a good weatherman in Seattle or something... but national? At least he is at Fox where no one will confuse him for a "real" journalist.

I miss this guy greatly, he has a lovely style. It was great to have our morning news reported by Bill. Where did he go? Can we still see him?

Glad he is gone from CNN. I just did not like his propensity to "inadvertently" lay his hand on Soledad's lap while talking. I believe he will be good in about 10yrs after the vinegar thins out.

Fog brained muppet of a newscaster. So glad he's gone from CNN. Delivered news like he was the bastard love child of Geraldo Rivera.

Just awful, hated him on the early show in CNN--glad he is gone, too full of himself and his opinions, so maybe it is good he ended up on a network (FOX) where personal opinions overshadow the actual truth of the news 24/7

Love him. I was so glad to see him on FOX News. I never really watched him before Fox, just saw him when I was channel surfing. I remembered he was on CNN. He is my favorite news guy now. Before it was Shepard Smith (still like Shepard) but my favorite is Bill Hemmer. Welcome!

I Googled Bill Hemmer to find out what happened to him in the morning on CNN. I can't believe he would have been let go. Hemmer had a great personality and really connected with everyone I know. CNN (assuming you did let him go) What were you thinking?

Bill Hemmer is a professional news person with an eye for the news, a presentation style that is appealing, and a sense of humor to go along with it all. CNN made a mistake in terminating him, however, that is not their first mistake in the news area, and the result is Fox's gain. Unfortunately for CNN, the Obriens are just not filling the gap left by Hemmer's departure. Jim in Chardon

He's Really good looking and intellegent. Great job on CNN. His girlfriend is very lucky. He's got it all. Good looks, brains, charm and sprituality. You can't get better than that.

I read the recent postings before deciding to send my opinion of Bill Hemmer's performance...if that is indeed what this board is about. I was not sure from some of the postings I've read. At first, I thought it might have been his appearance then possibly his mannerisms and tactics. How 'bout I comment on his actual job performance. Given what/who he has to work with, I feel he does justice to the morning show and reporting in general. He gives a casual appeal to the thirty-something generation who might just as well not watch news these days due to the stiffed-shirt, sourfaced anchors on every other program reading dry, depressing news. Sure, news reporting should remain unbiased and to-the-point but where's the harm in throwing a little witt and humor in with it. I enjoy the silly little comments thrown in to mix it all up. Kudos to him! I think we can use more anchors like him...even in the female species-but that will probably be years down the road, I'm sure! Besides al... Read more

Not a fan, comes across like a bafoon, reads the news well, but if he has to chit chat, he is such a dork! I hate him so badly that I switch to MSNBC when Hemmer's program comes on now, can't stand to see his horrible attempts to 'fit in' with those around him. I do watch his show when he is on vacation and Anderson Cooper fills in, THEN it is a good show!

Absolutely terrible. He is insincere and unlikeable. He cuts people off, treats actual newsmakers (such as Michael Moore) like dirt exposing his right-wing bias. He tries to fit into the casual, off-the-cuff morning news format that is now popular a=on many networks. However, he is not funny or likeable and guffaws like the village idiot. I find him completely unwatchable. I agree with previous comments ... Anderson Cooper is much better, carries himself with more integrity and actually comes across as intelligent. And Hemmer's interviews are terrible!

i don't get his appeal, if anyone thinks he has any. he's smug, and yet he's also a complete drip: these two attributes are not found often in a single person, and they are not flattering in the least. he makes a boring, unwatchable morning show boring and unwatchable.
