Salem

Don't know what is up with Salem, full flavor, 100's. For the last year, the packing of tobacco is poor. Tamping leaves quite a bit of paper. They can flare if they reach a hollow spot. (Also, they can burn down the center letting the paper flare.) For the cost of my addiction, the old gal is pretty peeved.

I tried Salem once and I went back to grizz. I didn't like the green packages.

It was the first Salem I tried, and I thought it was good. It was also the first menthol cigarette I have ever tried.... Soon after putting it out I began to feel very ill, heart was beating very fast and I was having hot flashes for about 30 minutes. I don't know if menthol does that to you on the first try but I'm never having one again.

If I was a smoker,I would definately smoke Salem Lights One Hundreds. The distinct smells of its menthol-mint aroma would gently waft from corpse as I lay waiting for the reaper to escort me to the afterlife. Good smoke.

i've been a salem 100s full flavor, since switching from virginia slims menthol a few years ago. currently 2-3 pacs a day, i totally love them~!

nice, refreshing menthol taste. smoke is smooth and gives a decent nicotine hit. try the black label, theyre better.

I dont like them, but i do LOVE the double menthol one.

I've only smoked a box of the Salem Black Label brand. I usually smoke Nat Sherman MCDs and Natural Mints but was low on cash one day, so I bought this box for $4.50 (compared to $8.00 for Nats). These cigarettes took some getting used to but once I was halfway through the box, I started to enjoy them. They have a unique menthol taste and provide a good buzz, but they burn quickly. I would recommend them for chain smoking. I would probably buy them again if low on cash. The green-filtered cigarette in the box was creative -- I saved it and kept it with Nats to enjoy at a party.

Salems are decent menthol smokes that hold their own. My second favorite menthol choice after Kools. Refreshing, just a bit too minty for my taste and not enough tobacco taste. Its like you're smoking a coughdrop with these. Not bad though, if you love a minty smoke, Salems are for you!

Salem is the best menthol cigarette around.  They have a smooth cool taste, and I always enjoy them.  I've tried the other menthol cigarettes but always go back to Salem.  They are the first cigarette I smoked, and I continue to smoke and enjoy them.

Salem Green full flavor are the best cigarette I've ever smoked. They're really satisfying, and the menthol makes it easy to get a good long draw, plus it's good for your throat and lungs. I've been a loyal Salem smoker since I was a kid and they've never disappointed me.

Tried slim lights a few times on and off-no satisfaction! Not harsh but weak menthol effect and they burn quicker. Tried a friends virginia slims menthol lights and loved them right away. Always enjoy a vs menthol light in the morning and before i go to bed at night.  Boyfriend (doesn't smoke) says he's never noticed an overpowering aftertaste right after i've had one_hooray i say!   Salem slim lights? blahhh....

I've only smoked the green packs and my first impression was that even though it says smooth,I'm not convinced.Newports are smoother than these and Newports have a better tobacco flavor.Now I'm not some hater,but these are awful.If your looking for a quality mentholated cigarette,your better off buying a pack of Newport or one of KOOL's many varieties.Of course,my taste in a cigarette may differ from yours,but I only base my reviews of experience.

You can take Salem out of the country, but you cant take the country out of Salem!

I smoked a few packs of Salem in my day when my throat would get sore. In fact this was about the first cig I smoked when I started at about age 15. I know, I know. That was bad but it was the "Dirty Fifties" after all.

Probably the worst cigarette I've ever tried. HORRIBLE.

Gross. I dont know what they do to them but they taste terrible. The sliding pack is also dumb and not very smart.

thought the green labels were alright i like the black labels a lot better i love um i would rather have one of these then a marb. menthol and the unique slide box these are the best

Green Label are an okay menthol,Black Label are horrible.They are to strong and there flavor just makes you want to take one hit and put it out.

Not bad but not great. Green labels are on sale a lot around me though. My buddy smokes the Black Label 100's with the cool sliding box and the one cig with the green filter. I like Kools, Dunhills, or Nat Sherman Mints personally.

Green Label full flavor is great. Took them back up in the hot summer after a 15 year break. Plenty of nicotine (1.3) for a good a.m. buzz on the way to work. Doesn't stink me up like the Marlboros I enjoy. Also it's cool watching the white filter darken with each satisfying puff.

My favorite menthol cigarette, these are great for those who don't like such a strong mint flavor in your menthols.

Black Label are terrible and Green are okay

Salem Blacklabel are the best menthol cig around. Full, strong flavor with enough menthol too cool, but not to overpower. My first cigarette smoke (i smoked cigars for years first) and still my favourite menthol smoke.

Another nasty cigarette made by RJ Reynold's..these people should just give up. Bleck ! Salems are notorious for burning way too fast, and the inhale is harsh and nasty. It burns like noone's business ! :(

These are great if you like a menthol taste that is more mild. When I was a menthol smoker I smoked Salem 100's. If you are a woman or a guy who likes slim cigs you should try the Salem Slim Light 100's, they are really good- my only negative comment on the lights is that sometimes I feel they don't give me enough tobacco. These are good cigs though and the package is awesome.
