I was loaned a Browning Gold when I went duck hunting about 6 years ago and loved it. I got a chance to buy a new in the box X-2 about a year ago which is basically the same shot gun. I bought an extra 28" barrel and an extended magazine so I can actually load and shoot 14 shells (2-3/4") as fast and I mean as fast as I can pull the trigger. A little costly but a whole lotta fun and where you aim is totally shot to pieces. I use it mostly for just fun and skeet shooting. Almost like shooting a BB gun it kicks so little. I don't really like the raised bar on the barrel with the little bead as I have a benelli M2 that seems to aim and point much better. The x-2 seems a little heavy but I can still shoot skeet pretty well with it but to be honest if I'm shooting against someone I want to be competitive with I pick up the Benelli which even with the inertia spring system seems to kick less than the X-2 with the light skeet loads but it may be the important "FIT" that makes the diffe... I just bought a Super X2. After I put a few hundred rounds through it with my buddy I will be coming back to update my review. I will also try to keep updating them as I go. I found these reviews very helpful in making my purchase decision. Especially when I was considering buying the new Benelli Vinci, the Benelli Diamond, the Remington 11-87, and the Xetrema 2. I bought my Super X2 from the used rack for 599.98 and it was pretty much new. The bolt face still have a clear reflection and almost no scratches.

Wow! It is so good I am looking to buy another one. The felt recoil is very very low. It cycles light loads impeccably. It doesnt jam. I can go on and on. My wife who is recoil sensitive shot 200 rds at the skeet range and never felt anything. We took it to the skeet range and put 400 rds through it with no problems. Cleaned it and put another 200 rds through it the next day and no problem. I have the black synthetic version in 3" chamber. Love it! Buy one, you wont regret it.

I have owned two X2s for over two years now, along with shotguns from Rem., Benelli, Beretta, and Browning, and the X2s are by far the most reliable and best shooting guns I have ever owned. I have put this gun through every kind of nasty weather that Alaska has to offer and not one problem. The gun would just keep cycling any sort of ammo it was fed. I constantly hunt with friends using other autos and would have to say the Remington 11-87 is the only thing that comes close, while all of the Benellis ,SBEII-N2, are way to fine tuned to hunt reliably in any condition. Pound for pound and dollar for dolar the X2 is the way to go!

The nicest shotgun I have ever purchased as a waterfowler. This gun shoots fast and far and recoils nicely. The sights could be better for the price paid 640.00 NIB. This gun is knocking geese out of the sky, where my Mossberg would just knock off feathers. I highly recommend this shotgun,it may not be a Benelli, but they are definately on Benelli's heels, and best gun for the money.

I've consistently had problems since purchasing mine 4-5 years ago. It HATES the cold and has since day #1. The gun regularly fails to cycle 100%. I've tried numerous "fixes" and products from no lub, to wd40. to graphite, to you-name-it. I've even used an aerosal cleaner to clean the recoil plunger in the stock. Now it's pretty much a single shot gun and I'm really disastified. All comments and/or suggestions are invited. TY

Best gun I have ever owned. Not heavy, virtually indestructable, and have shot it in the harshest conditions without it ever jamming! I have put thousands of rounds through my x2 and that is no exgeration. Everything from lite loads to 3 1/2 mags. Its worth the money and will perform as well or in many cases better than much more expensive guns!

I bought my x2 2 hunting seasons ago the first year I shot 50 roosters I just couldn't miss. It is my first semi-auto and I for one will never shoot anything but a super x2. I got it at a Gander Mountain retail store on a clearence sale. The price was too good to pass up, $585.99 plus a $50 rebate, not too shabby. So go and get one you won't be disappointed I promise!

The X2 is at least as good as the ad copy. It shoots a wide variety of 12 ga ammuntion with no problems. Stock and rib dimensions are a fine fit for me and if you look around the X2 can be had for sevreral hundered dollars less than a similarly equiped Italian model. Buy one!

excellent gun. recoil is good even with 3.5 mags. just too overpriced.
