Mon Mar 19 2001he's not in the show. Why should I rate him. He is only a producer. the show should be rated not the producer.

Mon Mar 12 2001Thank you Mr. Burnett for producing such a wonderfully captivating series. My entire family watches it together every thursday night, and we all react with each and every twist and turn. We love that you took such care in selecting your players. The show is so true in depicting real life situations, it helps reinforcing character/situation decision making skills for my 2 children. Rogers brave jump, Mikes killing the pig for nurishment, Kuchas team work etc. has been very exciting and positive examples of how to conduct yourself in real life situations. And of course Ogakor has offered examples of how not to act and has reinforced to my boys to be wary of peoples motives. Thank you for bring Elisabeth and Roger into our homes every Thurs. night, they are fine human beings.

Thu Mar 08 2001Give me a break. Like, we couldn't figure out that Jeff was going to get voted off the island. Since we'd had about 20 comments from Jeff during the show it was pretty clear that Burnett wanted to get a bunch of parting jabs and scheming comments from Jeff.

Sun Mar 04 2001Prior to the last episode (Michael getting burned), I would have given Burnett a 4 or a 5. However, finding out that he would have fired the cameraman had he dropped the camera to help Michael drops him a couple of notches. I understand the need for constant filming, but when a man is mortal danger, you drop what you are doing and help. Burnett's zeal in maintaining coverage is ghoulish at best, criminal at worst.

Wed Feb 21 2001This guy probably had no idea what kind of jackpot he would hit with this show. This truely is the most original and suspenseful game/TV show that I've ever watched. I can't get enough of it. Brilliant producing, Mark Burnett.

Tue Feb 06 2001Most likely the only real winner or Survivor. At least he provides water cooler topics and keeps on our feet. Congratulations for all you hard work! It's definately paid off.

Tue Feb 06 2001If you want to know how big a difference a good producer can make when it comes to creating a reality-based TV show, just think of the disaster that was "Big Brother." Mark Burnett deserves a great deal of credit for championing the idea of "Survivor," setting up a compelling structure (immunity challenges, two tribes, voting people off, tribal council, etc.), choosing interesting cast members, and making sure that thousands of hours of footage are turned into a handful of quality episodes. He also did an amazing job of keeping the winner of the first "Survivor" a secret.
