Not sure if it's even close to the best, but it is really easy to use and can destroy so many things. I loved blasting pumpkins and the stump they sat on into even colored mush.

A quality made AK-47 is not an inaccurate gun. Many are capable of 3-4" groups at 100 yards which is great when one considers those nasty sights. That being said, the number of quality AK's are very few. Most are of lesser quality and depending on the amount of usage it has seen could very well shoot MOB. (Minute Of Barn) Yes they are reliable, but they carry a stigma most of us don't want to be associated with. Since the "Obama rush" on assault weapons has made such weapons scarce the price for a decent one has gone WAY up. For the price on would pay for today's AK it would be to your benefit to buy a new rifle of another make.

Some of these answers are insane. Its a total piece of shit the only thing it has in reliability. A HK 416/417, g36, steyr aug are reliable and about 4 to 5 times as accurate. Not to mention I don't think you can hit anything twice before it moves out of the way with an AK. This rifle was made for mass, expedient production. Just because you can sell 200000 geo metros for 10 bucks a pop doesn't mean anyone wants one. Same with the AK yea i can buy a case for a goat and some shitty opium but when it comes down to it do i want to achieve 30 out of 30 kills or 1 or 2 out of 50 with an AK?

Inacurate, ugly, great calibour, old, Russian Weapons suck balls & the only reason why people like it because its in pop culture i.e CoD4. in conclusion the ak47 sucks balls

The AK-47 has a big round, yes. BUT it is incredibly inaccurate and useful mainly for spraying and praying. Also, its very cheaply made so it can easily be mass produced and that itself brings about more problems.

If I had only the option to take one weapon with me to a new hostile planet of unknown origin, it would be the Ak-47. Use it as an ore, flagpole, whatever you want to do with it, then pick it up, (don't worry about cleaning it)load it, and take care of business...

it's a favorite assault rifle at all, but too heavy, not fit for CQB,  in the future light-weight weapon is the best choice!

Good gun, but the 7.62mmx39 arn't the best bullets. It is reliable as hell though.

Dump sand in the action, close it, and try to fire. What happens? It works. I'll take a point off for lack of long range capability, but its reliable as hell and lethal.

I have this particular rifle, and it is the best i've ever used. All the bullets go in a tight cluster on the target, so it is very accurate. Very easy to feild strip, and easy to clean. I love my ak!

This is in my opinion a great assault rifle due to its low maintenance high performance status practical arm for all terrains and conditions more of a machine-gun then a rifle you could dip it in water,dunk it in mud,drag it under sand and it won't clog up not to metion very powerful with comfortable grip its only flaw I'm affraid is it's accuracy(highly recommend).
