It's a totally racist show I mean they made only one white person and they are a freaky looking geek and a mean spanish girl. The only reason I gave it a 2 is because it was funny.

I think some people here are confused about what exactly a stereotype is, and why they are 'bad'. Like any television show, or any story for that matter, PF has CHARACTERS, who are identified by certain traits. To make the show funny, the traits are exaggerated. And MILDLY at that. Anyone who doesn't see this last point has never actually met black people. Self-righteous hypersensitivity is no substitute.

I personally believe all of you people are uptight. I like this show, it does not stereotype just one race. I feel that it is more of a cartoon for independent minded pre-teens or teenagers though. Hey if you don't like it then don't let your impressionable children watch it. I watch the Proud Family and I know that the characters are exagerated, some of them atleast. Maybe the problem is that you people have been out of high school for so long that you cannot relate to this show. It's just an animated version of the George Lopez show, or any other show that is slightly offensive. It gives pre-teens a chance to laugh at themselves and the girls who tease them at school.

actually watched an episode of the Proud Family cartoon show and was shocked at the poor language, the slang, the bad behavior, the inappropriate behavior of the characters, what a rude program to be showing to children ! I cannot believe this show is being aired at all. This is not entertainment nor should children be allowed to watch this Proud show. The exchange of name calling and belittling other characters is obsene and sets a poor example for children. Stop this show !

I like this show, smart humor the warner brothers era humor that happens to Oscar Proud (he is wile e. coyote prototype and the things that happen tohim are hilarous )it borrows from popular culture in ways that are fresh and funky and the character Penny reminds me of myself when I was a teenager. One of the best cartoons on T.V. and a hip-hop show that actually works. p.s. this is not racist whatsoever, typical cracker thinking when a African-American show is creative and does not include you piece of human dipspits go ballistic, It is a very funny cartoon that my goddaughters introduced me to.

This is a crappy cartoon. How can you possibly call Kwanza a spiritual cartoon when it was invented half a century ago in the states by some guy who was proud of African heritage, it has nothing to do with spirituality. And that's not what bugs me, what bugs me is that they call Christmas the TOY INDUSTRIES END OF THE YEAR TOY SELLING SCAM! I HATE THOSE DAMN HOBOES!!!!

This show is plain out stereotypical. Black characters like Dijonay and Oscar are portrayed as jive and down wit' dat, funky cat. Asian characters have buck teeth and little lines for eyes. Latinos are portrayed as dumb, insane, and rude to everyone. White characters are portrayed as ugly geeks or racist janitors. This show is terrible, plain out.

This is one of the few animated shows for families that is actually funny, and I enjoy it very much. As it also has a lot of heart, it's one of the best cartoons out there.

i hate shows that purposely try to make black people look better than white people. and Penny reminds me of this annoying girl in my class who whines all the time because Penny always whines like a baby. just give her a diaper and a pacifier already! Gag me with a spoon....

I love this show. I see nothing racist about it. It's clearly a show where as though a teenage girl is trying to live her life without having her parents breathing down her back 24/7. She has friends to support her and a grandmother who is the coolest! The show is bascially about a teenage girl who wants to have freedom. Just like any other teenager. I recommend this show to everyone. Even my parents enjoy the show. My parents are somewhat like that of Penny's. The show is great!

This show covers decent issues, but other than that, this is the most stereotypical, racist peice of filth I've ever watched in my life. How is it stereotypical? 1. Penny's friend Dijonay follows the uneducated trash stereotype. 2. Penny's dad is a cheap dead-beat. 2. The show's main white character, Zoey, is geeky and "fake-in-the-funk". 3. The smartest kid's in Penny's class are three Asian Triplets who have trouble speaking straight-English. 4. It seems that almost anytime the three Asian kids enter a room, a DJ-remix of Chinese traditional music is played. When Penny's Hispanic friend, Lacienica, enters a room, a DJ-remix of traditional Latina music plays. There you have it. This show is horrible, and shouldn't be exposed to anyone's children.

I hate this show. It's not funny at all and its sooooo annoying. No 14 year old's parents pick out clothes for them. And whats with the names 'Lashenka' 'Dijonay' and 'Sticky'? And of course the only white girl on this show is a geek. It seems like the only purpose of this show is to make black people look cool and white people to look like nerds. Lizzie McGuire is at least a little less racist. I'm gonna go barf now.

Realistic show is like an animated version of The Cosby Show, with toned down humor, and more young children.

Some people might consider me childish because I am 20 and still watch Disney. I ask you, what is childish about enjoying shows that are clean, decent and family oriented? I'd rather watch this then Fox (and you know how I feel about Fox).
