Dangermike is pretty dumb..minnesota has the reputation of having only minnesota natives play for their team with like 2 exceptions...i respect them for the great team that they are...and herb brooks created a dynasty

Dangermicke has to be the dumbest person on earth. Minnesota has historically had the LOWEST # of Canadians on its team, and for DECADES, had no Canadians, and no one except kids right out of high school, from Minnesota. Why do you think we only have 5 NCAA Titles?! DUH!!! And we won our 2nd in a row just recently, with the 2nd youngest team in all of mens Div 1 college hockey. It's true that Lucia has started to recruit a little bit older kids out of the Juniors, but he's only doing what every other school in the nation has been doing for decades. UMN is only just catching up. Wait until we ARE older on average, with a couple more of the nations and Europes and Canada's best combined with a bunch of Minnesota stars. We didn't get the threepeat this time around, but it could still be done before Lucia finishes up, which will be a long ways off, he's a young guy. He'll probably end his career as the greatest Coach in UMN history, and the greatest in College hockey history as well.

What college hockey is all about

Every Minnesotan breathes Gopher hockey. It's part of the culture. And in reply to dangermicke's comment about the players coming from Canada and being older... the Gophers primarily recruit born and bred Minnesotans (there was only 2 "foreigners" on the team-Potulny from ND and Vanek from Austria), and this past year had the second YOUNGEST team in the country (avg age was 20.9). MN IS the STATE OF HOCKEY. Congratulations to the Gophers and I can't wait for the next season!!

The only things to do in minnesota hockey and wrestling, so basically gay sweaty guys in spandex rubbing against each other and fruity little homos with no teeth on the ice, won't be going there

Give me A break Please !!!!, These guys college hockey Players are Imported from Canada and most of them are above the Legal college Age(Hockey is the only sport that the NCAA hasent an minimum age rule).These Players have Played Minor League Hockey for Ions, and then join the UM for Job contracts.dont belive me read the Miniapolis Herald date 02.28.2003 Yaaa So Belive IT!!!!!! The 2003 Team Players are older than my Grand Daddy.No Kidding

Minnesota Hockey is great but Gopher Hockey is a way of life. Land of 10.000 rinks. Pride on Ice. The Tradition. Back to Back!!! Do I hear a Three- peat?!?!?!

Typical Minnesota hockey; hard working overachievers. Usually, that's only enough to get them to the dance, but to actually win it and then again the next year. WOW! Kudos to the bunch that does it without even going heavily into Canada to build their team. WOW again!! Who'd have thought it was even close to possible. Amazing! Some other teams should try it; apparently it can be done.

Back to back--pretty impressive, and a 3-peat is not out of the question!!!

Repeat National Champions for the first time in 31 years. Going for the three-peat for the first time in 50 years.

Won five national championships but beat up on bumfu-- state U's year in and year out. It's time to play home and home series with traditional powers and big name schools.
