My roommate in college used to watch it, I never figured out why. This show makes absolutely no sense.

Great idea for a cartoon, with hilariously stupid results. Gotta see the show to understand, but its really an acquired taste.

I think its funny how they at Williams Street remade a cartoon from the 70s into a crew of misfits.

That depends. The Post Capt. Murphy episodes suck.

I guess this depends on which episode I am watching. Some are well written and some are lacking. Decide for yourself.

Sealab, and similarly animated shows on adult swim, are terrible (this obviously excludes The Family Guy, Futurama, etc.). Actually, I should not say that, because it blows big blue whale nuts! I have never actually hated a show until this mindless drivel somehow made it on television. I have no idea how! A retarded chimp with a full frontal lobotomy could write better material than what is on that show. If you find it in anyway funny, it just proves you more retarded than that monkey. The writing in no way has any comedic value! It is not clever. It is not witty. It is just random and stupid. But, alas, I probably do not understand this idiotic show because I am not a member of the market segment the show tries to appeal to - dorky, friendless, pasty, (probably obese) virgin nerds.

Zany randomness is what makes this cartoon hilarious! It's all in the little details. My fave character is Capt. Murphy...he's such a freakshow....some would characterize him as FREAKALICIOUS! "Fusebox" brought on an asthma attack coz I laughed so hard. I'm thinkin' the good Captain might be cranially afflicted..not that there's anything wrong with that.

Sealab I just about the funnist cartoon ive ever seen. It was good enough that after seeing only ONE episode (then the cable got cut off)I downloaded about more 12 shows! IT's FUNNY S HELL! and they constanly referance shows, movies and that kinda stuff...in short its a great show and has great writeing AND ANY MAILBOXHEAD WHO DOESN'T AGREE CAN DIE!

What a hysterical piece of animation! It has great elements of silliness (I believe Python was mentioned) paired with smart social satire. Extend it to 30 mins Cartoon Network!

simply amazing. this show epitomizes the greatness of abstract, ludicrous humor. Captain Murphy is the funniest character to ever appear on television.

The show is funny, but can get very random and dull at times. Overall, okay if you can stay up that late.

This show depends on it's writers, as the animation is pretty much crap. When the writing is on, it's a gem. When it's off, it stinks. I can think of two episodes where I must have missed the point entirely - 1) Behide the Scenes and 2) The Realistic One with the sub that keeps hitting things.

though the show is funny, it just seems like each character is one joke (murphy is dumb, sparks is evil, debbie is a slut, etc.) it stayed funny for awhile, but by season 2 it seemed to be dying down...so ill give it a 3 for now.

This show is absolutely hilarious. For the uninitiated, and to quote Cartoon Network's Adult Swim site, "Sealab 2021 is an update of Hanna-Barberra's 1970s series, Sealab 2020. The show uses a cut and paste method to breathe life back into the old animation with new soundtracks and computer animation." But even that description doesn't begin to explain the completely out-of-control hilarity of this crew of oblivious scientists who will get side-tracked about the stupidest things during moments of exteme danger. The episode I, Robot is a perfect example of this. While various parts of Sealab are exploding, and death is at the door, we are shown a group of morons arguing about whether robots can have sex and other mindlessness. This show is first rate for anyone smart enough to appreciate abstract humor and the very notion of being ridiculous for the purpose of exposing ridiculousness.
