One of the best Mario Karts ever made. Adding two characters to one cart makes it very unique.

It's a fun game, but it needs an adventure mode.

An innovative and fun sequel, Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is the first kart racer in video gaming history in which you have two characters. You can choose any two from a large lineup of characters from the Mario universe. These include new characters such as Toadette (who later comes along to appear in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, another spectacular Nintendo release). The graphics are amazing--with creative and vibrant courses filled with references to past Mario games and some awe-inspiring scenery, such as being shot up to a mountain in the Donkey Kong-themed course. The music is fairly unremarkable, but 10000 times better than the hip-hop dreck such games as EA Sports pushes on us. Speech is plentiful and well-done, particuarly from such characters as Princess Daisy and Mario. The controls are a dream, and there's not a glitch to be found. With two characters, one can hold two items for strategic use or to just fire, fire, fire! Multiplayer is here, including the option to actually play over a Local Area Network. The battle mode continues to be a great source of fun as well.
