me and my husband had dinner @ 502pm yesterday 12/27/10, the food was great and the service but to our side we are very easy customer we dont really ask for more napkins, more drink if we know we have enough.. well to make the story short we left the restaurant living 20dollars tip to 79dollars bill.. then while me and my husband driving away i remember clear to my conscience that i took off my wedding ring and my heart shape diamond ring and put both on the table they're both 14karat gold and 1karat for the diamond that in a heart shape gold.. our table was right next to the restroom the very corner table.. Not even 5 or 8mins we are back to the restaurant then while driving back I called first then as soon as I got to the cashier disappointment according to the server that I ask him myself he said he did not see any rings on the table and the night manager ask the busser he said he did not see it either but its too impossible because its not like I forgot it there for a long period o... For appetizer we had the Mozzarella Sticks which were huge and for my meal I had Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut which sounded soo good but when I had it, it was just okay. All in all this place was alright not bad.

I used to go to Claim Jumpers or 'Claim Humpers' as some like to call it for their halibut fish n' chips, which were honestly some of the best I've had. But like a lot of places, the winds of change swept through their menu....and the halibut became 'white fish,' which can really mean anything these days.

I had the seafood skewer, which really didn't have a whole lot of seafood- about 6 peices total of shrimp and scallops - but the other entrees looked good. Some good chicken and steak dishes and other salmon. They have this chocolate cake dessert which is about the size of half a chocolate cake.

After eating at a couple in the Seattle area the one at Clackamas Town Center in Portland was a disappointment. Portions were smaller, service was not as good, and it seemed we were just income for the restaurant, not customers. It has been three years since eating at a Seattle location, maybe all of them have gone down hill. There are other places which are better for the price.

We took some good friends to the Claim Jumper near Bridgeport Village (Tualatin? Lake Oswego?) and had a miserable experience. The wait for a reserved table was too long, the service was almost non-existent, and the value for the food was quite poor. Prices were up and portions were down, and the quality was just so-so. Example of our experience: waiter asks one woman if she wants dessert; she says "no", and the waiter leaves without asking anyone else at our table. I would give 0 stars if possible, and will never go to Claim Jumper again. Their loss.

In Short Established in 1977, the Claim Jumper draws families, seniors and professionals with a mix of Old-West decor and a reliable menu of American classics. Logs, corrugated tin, rock and warm fireplaces embellish the unique ambience. Signature plates include hickory-smoked pork ribs, rotisserie chicken and barbecued beef tri-tip; the menu also offers tortilla chicken soup, potpies, wood-fired pizzas, and the popular six-layer Chocolate Motherlode Cake. The saloon features appetizers and the restaurant's own brews.

Five stars for the one in Phoenix, Az. Huge delicious portions and good value for the amount of food they give you. I have had their half a chicken dinner and the meatloaf dinner. Both were awesome and the garlic mashed potatoes were really good. Can't rate their present food as it has been at least five years since I've eaten there. Their deserts were over the top too. We would just by one desert for four or five people and share it. That's how big it was.

Actually, Claim Jumper gets 0 stars.  The restaraunt in Henderson, NV, outside of Las Vegas, stunk, and their frozen foods are even worse.  Don't bother.

[Las Vegas, Boca Park location] I really LOVE this restaurant. It is a bit pricey, but not too much. For a decent dinner for two, with appetizer and desert, is around $75, but the portions are HUGE. You will definitely need a take home box, unless you are super hungry. Service is excellent, everytime I have gone there the waiters have been great. The place is dim, not super bright, perfect for dinner or late lunch.

Claim Jumper is the KING of all restaurants!! Sure you have to be on the waiting list for a couple of years (what else are you going to do with you time), sure you are going to weigh more going out then you did coming in (so you'll sweat it off walking back to your car)but don't let that take away from the MAMOTH size portions. Tell me when the last time you dropped $50.00 for 2 on dinner and walked away actually full with leftovers? Appatizers that would fill you by themselves, meals that save you a trip to the grocery store for a week, and desserts that give you a shot of heaven right in the a$$! Arghllllll......(drool)

Okay, I think this is my favorite restaurant. The service is promt and friendly and the food is amazing. The portions are huge I usually eat about half. My favorite meal is the Black tie pasta. Oh my gosh it's good! You won't have room for dessert, but take it with you. Try the Chocolate Motherlode Cake. One piece will feed the whole family. (I am not exagerating!)

Claim Jumper in Clackamas,OR is a waste of time, and a surefire way to blow hundreds on a night of disappointment. Whether they make you wait an hour for your "reserved" table, bring your bill 10 minutes after you receive your meal, or cut you off after 1 beverage...you can be assured of a less than enjoyable evening. Tell your friends. This is a bum deal - food looked great. Have been to their restaurant in Fresno and had a completely different experience. If you get bumped around in Clackamas, send your food back just as it hits the table. Don't stand for zero hospitality when you're ready to spend this kind of cash! Not only did this happen to our table, we watched them roll another 9 to 10 tables out the door moments after.

Can't comment on the new menu, but a few years back this place was great. I don't know which western chain invented the huge portion - Cheescake Factory or Claim Jumper - but Claim Jumper perfected it. Football-sized bakers, as noted below. Order broccoli - you get an entire head. You can feed off the leftovers from this place for days. One of my female employees mistakenly referred to this establishment as the "clam jumper." I thought she was accusing me of womanizing! I don't think clams of any kind are on the menu at The Claim Jumper, which is a family restaurant.

Very disappointed in new menu!! Gone are the days of the salad bar and huge baked potato included with the meal. The 26 oz prime rib is now only 24 oz and was more fat than meat. The flavor was non existent and the meat was dry. I probably wont be back.
