US Bank is the only bank that Suck and Blow at the same time CHEATERS, LIARS, THIEVES, They hide your balances to what you really have in your acct to deceive you so that you purposely go over drawn and charge enourmouse over draft fees many times 40 bucks per overdraft. They purposely dont' help customers by never allowing you any kind of overdraft protection via credit. So that they can continue to over charge you. You can open other accts with your own money to setup an overdraft but be sure that they also charge you for them to transfer YOUR funds so that you dont' over drawn your acct. But they way they do business it won't matter. They WILL charge you. NEVER NEVER NEVER open an account with them. There is no customer service to help you.

I had horrible customer service at US Bank. They charged me $75 in charges for writing 5 to many checks over the limit of 3. I was not told about this charge when I opened my account, or I would have never opened my account there. They told me that they aren't going to pay me a penny back of the money they stole from me. I am going to file a lawsuit against them in Small Claims Court. It's cheap where I live, $10, and close by my house. I might not win, but US Bank has to have someone represent them there or I will win if they don't show up. I'm also going to take as many depositions as possible at their branch office and I will speak in a loud voice when I go there to do that. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a bank in my life, and I'm not a young man anymore. Stay away from US Bank. They have a bunch of scams to ring up fees and charges. Plus, I don't know any other way to put it, their tellers are dumber than a bag of rocks!

I, like many of you, have had a horrible experience with US Bank. I was charged overdraft on 3 items, 2 of which were made when I had enough money in the account to cover them and a 3rd which came in 3 days later that overdrew my account. They tacked on 2 because the 2 charges I made didn't clear until after the 3rd charge THREE DAYS LATER became an authorization. The third charge wasn't even cleared until the day after it was first posted... so the 2 charges I made first had 4 days to clear with enough money in the account to cover them. So I got charged $105 not to mention the money that was already in the account seemed nonexistant to them. I went to one branch three times to get it resolved. The first 2 times I talked to the same person who told me she would talk to somebody and call me and both times she called to say it wouldn't be refunded. The third time I talked to someone else and she told me I had to go to another branch in my town because the branch I was at couldn't... Read more

I too will be closing my account based on unethical overdraft charges. I check my balance daily, have numerous text message alerts and still have wound up paying $35 in fees for a negative AVAILABLE balance. My actual balance being well in the black. Overall I estimate my total loss to be about $300 over the last year. I can't tolerate it anymore. I am making a complaint to my local better business bureau.

I agree with the reviewers that state how US Bank is inflexible about charging fees. Such poor customer service- they aren't interested in building long term, loyal customers, just making money.

Us Bank is the worst money steeling bank that I know. They find ways to charge for overdraft fees for items that were already listed as cleared. I will be closing my account with them. Ever since I had my checks from work direct diposit I have been more broke than ever. If I over draft on one items they find ways to charge me for the items that already cleared, than they tell me that the items were pending not cleared. I do not know how they get away with steeling from customers. This bank should be closed down in every bank. They are criminal , crooks. I will be closing my accounts very soon. mag.

I don't think the IRS nor the Federal Government cares how US Bank VISA conducts their business. US Bank chooses to register one's payment when they want to, at whim, and has their phone collectors verbally threaten customers that because your payment is two days late "Why should we credit you when we receive it?".They frequently use the worn litany of the customer being responsible for what they say they can't control-their mail room and their posting(one would think that is powered by some water wheel-not electronically posted). Their profitEERING is accomplished by convincing the customer that they have not received the payment and getting the customer to simply say they "sent it". Seems everyone else received the payment-the computer service, the other bank Visa, the mortgage company, the utility companies, etc. on AND your checking account shows those. But ONLY(exclusive to them) US Bank Visa denies receipt of payment for many days or over ten days so they can 'justify' interest... Read more

I'm in the process of trying to close my corporate account - what jackasses they are! It was a second account that I hardly ever used, then... I had called to check the balance because I needed to transfer most of the account into my other temporarily, and according to the electronic/by phone account, I made sure to leave enough in there to keep it open. A month later (no calls, no notices), I got my monthly, and found that they charged me DAILY for a $30 overdraw, that had IN ONE MONTH reached over $240!!! I tried to call them, and nobody would help me because they said they had sent it onto collections, closed out the account. So I had my accountant try and reason with them, they reopened it for him, and then "generously" deducted $100 from it - but by then it had gone up well over $300!!! I go in to pay it off today, and they tell me that yet ANOTHER $90 has been added to the hole. That means they have raped me of more than $380 for a $30 mistake that their f'd-up electronic phone s... Read more

U.S. Bank is terrible. They really are scam artists. They have ripped off my cousin, my dad, as well as myself! The teller told us we should switch from a reserve line to a premiere line, promising a lower interest rate; so we did. We checked, double checked and triple checked w/ the tellers in person, as well as on the 24-hour banking line to confirm that our reserve had been brought to a zero balance and closed out. Everyone we talked to said, yes the reserve line didn't exist anymore and the premiere line that was opened was meant as a replacement, they couldn't co-exist, we were told. THREE YEARS LATER, we discover that we owe a huge debt to US Bank (about $2000)! We look into it and ask about it, when we finally get an answer, we are told the reserve DID have a small balance way back then and NEVER did CLOSE out, and had been accruing 19% interest ever since, hence our debt of $2000. We explained and explained, got sent in circles, only to eventually be told that they ref... Read more

I hate USBANK! I have a mortgage by them the dealings in the last two years has been horrible. Every year in Febuary they return my payments and tell me I don't live in my house. Then I have to pay late fees of course and go through the trouble of waiting on hold for an hour then faxing them copies of my electric bill. I have had to call them many times for various reasons and every single person I've talked to is more than rude. Like someone else said they just talk over you and sometimes even hang up on you so that you have to wait on hold again another hour. Please stay away from this business.

Absolute thieves! Read the reviews yourself (USBank and US Bank). You can easily indentify, and should ignore, the couple of reviews submitted by the bank's management. I majored in business and I promise you that if you give this bank access to any of your money you WILL end up as ripped-off and pissed-off as everyone else who has had the misfortune of trusting US Bank. Brion C. Former account holder.

I just closed my account after they mailed my checks to an address I lived at three years ago. Then after being on hold and transferred around for over an hour, the fraud woman was rude, talked over me while I was speaking, and refused to let me deal with this by mail since that would be more convenient for me and froze my account and sent me to a branch. While I did want my account frozen, I have pnuemonia so it's not exactly convenient to have to drive to a branch and spend an hour trying to clear this up. Further, it turns out that they have no record of my last two check orders and was trying to tell me that my last correctly printed checks never even happened. Which if they looked at a check image they'd know that they're just wrong. Also the address they claim they last printed checks for, I didn't even print checks for, ever. And when I said I wanted to close the account the guy kept saying are you sure you want to do that? Like hello you've wasted over an hour of my time and ... Read more

This bank is widespread and they do not bother me much in the mail. They have convienient atm's and yes if you do see their commercials, they guarantee 5 star service. They do give good but not great intrest rates, but from what I have with it, these bankers are friendly and they know what they are doing.
