 | bibliophile (12) 11/29/2004 | Well, this would certainly be bad, though I've never heard of any hate crimes that could be proven to have been committed because the victim was disabled. The problem with legislating hate crimes is that the crime is still committed. The outcome is the same. Ted Bundy preferred to kill brunettes with long hair and a center part. Does that make it a hate crime against brunettes? Should brunettes be worth more points or less than any other hair color? The point was, Ted Bundy killed people. Their hair color should not matter.
