When I first started drinking, rum was my poison, and I still enjoy a good Cuba Libre from time to time, but now that I'm legal, I've expanded my drinking habits significantly. Come on guys, it's made from sugar cane, how bad can it be?!? Cheers!

Rum gets three stars because there are too many varieties. A lot of people think of something like Captain Morgan spiced rum when they hear the word rum, and that stuff is awful. But regular dark rum is pretty good, and white rum definitely has it's uses in certain drinks.

I am partial to the rum from Barbados. Look for Mount Gay rum. That is a really good variety.

I used to be more of a fan. But unlike bourbon or other whiskeys, rum isn't something I like to drink on its own. I think I was spoiled in Jamaica over xmas with the good stuff.
