"Let me deny myself", if I'm prince here, who would dare to match with Michael Jackson in music? Michael Jackson first of all, is an early music Lucifer, with vocal exchoing lead since his childhood, let alone playing musical instruments. dancing? Aaah...I would just give up. Finished.

I will say that prince wasn't a sissy like Jackson, and he could play the tar out of a guitar.

It's all about sex, letting it all hang out or keeping it under wraps. Prince is sexuality unleashed and put to music. He'd perform nude if it helped him get his point across, but he does well enough with his guitar, his voice and his sexy band. Jackson's records and in his performances are all about repressing that sexuality, keeping it wrapped up and tied down. At his height he wore so much armour on stage and his vocal perfromance the sound of rage being held back, but just barely. Compare the vocal delivery on Prince's Cream to Jackson's Scream to see the difference.

They are/were both effeminate freaks who recorded music that I never liked, yet were practically worshipped by fans. No point in trying to compare the two, because as far as I'm concerned they both sucked.

The only way MJ gets an edge here is as a showman off-stage. Michael was, as I think someone else said, the P.T. Barnum of the music business. Though he was a gifted performer, he was not the complete package that Prince was/ is. Further, Prince plays 11 instruments, writes, composes, and even produces most of his own music. He achieved all of this without the benefit of any formal music lessons. Having seen both live, I can also give the edge to Prince on stage. Prince...no contest.

I'll give 'em a second star for presentation, but neither makes music that moves me like Little Richard can, and Mr. Penniman wins at showmanship as well.
