I know that this list is the search for "The Best Dancer Ever", but an exception can be made, here. These guys were in a league of their own, dancing together for over half a century. This clip of the brothers dancing in the film "Stormy Weather" (1943) was described by Fred Astaire as the single greatest musical dance routine ever filmed and, no doubt raised the bar for Astaire and Kelley duets (and a bar they probably never even considered approaching) . Watching this, I found myself asking, on several occasons, if they were gonna make it,. They were a staple on the Jazz circuit and made over 40 films, the last one in 1985. The older brother, Fayard was born in 1914 and died in 2006. The younger brother, Harold was born in 1921 and died in 2000. Another reason I wanted to post this is that I really thought you'd enjoy watching this amazing display. Watch til the end!If the Olympics had 'Pair Jazz Dancing' as a competition event, this video alone would still be taking the Gold. Betcha can't watch it just once. As a dance team. a solid *5*

the Nicholas Brothers. were amazing. fantastic tap dancers. they had impressive athletic abilities in their dancing. it is really very unfortunate these talented men did not get the same screen time that other dancers such as Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly got{ I am a huge fan of both these guys too}I had seen the clip that Ridge put on rateitall from youtube years ago. and still like to see that clip. man oh man could those guys dance!

They may have had a bit of a limited range, but there's no denying that they were the best at what they did. And for my money it was the most tremendously enjoyable thing to watch ever filmed.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBb9hTyLjfMAnd yes, that's Cab Calloway.
