11/01/2006 | This is the last year I will go to the Castro for Halloween. Because of violence, the city has had to crack down really hard on the festivities, and a lot of the fun is gone now. And, it is still really dangerous. 10 people were shot last night one block from where I was. Too many knuckleheads, and too many non San Franciscans. These kids come in from the East Bay and they just want to disrespect women and fight everybody... I say put the police barriers on the Bay Bridge.
Anyway, no more Castro Halloweens for me.
