My favorite place to eat at, is Mandarin. I especially like sweet and sour chicken ball, egg rolls, chow mein, and Pork Fried Rice. The great thing about it? There are endless varieties of food to try out.

I used to enjoy it more when I was younger (and actually was under the erroneous impression that I was eating "healthy food"), but I still partake more than occasionally-- in part because it's readily available if you're working or running late and desperately want to avoid fast food hamburgers, and it's generally still fairly cheap. A container of Egg-Drop-Wonton soup, Happy Family or Singapore Mei Fun, and a few fortune cookies, and I'm a happy camper (although I always try to convince myself that I'm going to run more than a few laps around the track the following day). About 10 years ago, my family was away on Christmas Day for some reason, I was between girlfriends, and all my male friends were otherwise engaged, so I spent Christmas Day left to my own devices. In truth, I sort of liked the novelty of being completely on my own and decided to travel to Connecticut and take photographs (as opposed to going to church). The first part of the day was interesting; absolutely no one was... Read more

I did the food test once but it was while ria was having trouble so my answers got deleted! I love most Chinese food. I prefer a buffet so I can take a little of everything instead of having to make a choice.

There are a lot of varieties of Chinese, some excellent, particularly Szechwan in my opinion. Bad Chinese food, however, is simply disgusting.

Not one of my favorites. But it is good from time to time. And I also have to be careful of some of the ingredients that some Chinese dishes have.

I love Chinese but I never venture to a Chinese joint. If I  want Chinese cuisine, I prepare it myself from fresh ingredients and real chicken [with no gristle and fat and real pork and beef.]I don't enjoy eating dog and rat. Nor do I enjoy eating at establishments that have some of the worst health scrores in the restaurant industry [in the USA], unless you eat at a premium restaurant...and by premium I am talking 50.00 per entree, not Panda Express.Besides, I can cook circles around any moderate Chinese joint with rats inthe kitchen and I know where the food came from and what it really is.I have never eaten in China but it would be a worthwhile experience and I'm sure it is 1000% better than the stuff they pander as Chinese in the USA!

When you travel to China, some of the dishes seem to have more grease in them. . .I've met travellers who swear by Chinese, but it was a mixed bag for me. . .

Chinese food can be delicious. They really know how to make veggies!I favor the spicier Hunan dishes. There's a big variation in quality from one restaraunt to another, though. At a good "buffet" type place, you can see what looks nice and sample it first.

I like Chinese soups such as Won Ton and egg flower soup. I enjoy the buffets where you can just help yourself to whatever looks good. For real authenticity find a place that serves Dim Sum.

in terms of the fattening slop we get in Take-out joints, i guess i like General Tsao's. they say it's spicy but it isn't. the rest of it i can give or take, everything just ends up tasting like fish.

I live in Taiwan, with food from all of China's regions available due to mass immigration of people from all regions of China. You can get anything from Peking Duck to Cantonese dim sum. Some of my favorites are steamed pork and vegetable dumplings, bbq pork buns, fried dumplings filled with meat, onion pancakes, kung pao chicken(the real version), Sweet and sour fish, ginger beef, egg fried rice and many others. It's nothing like the typical Americanized Chinese food you get at a buffet. Most food isn't deep fried but stir fried and they don't use all the thick heavy, sweet sauces, overall its much healthier and tastier. For authentic Chinese food outside China the Chinatown is probably one of the few places you can find it.

Love that Chinese Food. Whether in the shi-shi confines of P. F. Changs or some beat-down chinese buffet in the ghetto, it rarely disappoints my taste buds. My favorites are Won Ton Soup (By the gallon), Egg Rolls, Shrimp Toast, Pork Fried Rice, Shrimp and Lobster Sauce, Chinese-style barbequed spare ribs, and Peking Duck. While most chinese restaurants are family owned, seek out any Chinatown in a big city and you can't go wrong. I found Philadelphia's Chinatown to be one of the best. Oakland had a good one. San Francisco, of course, has a good one; but some restaurants have weird variations of common dishes. San Diego does not have a Chinatown, but they have a real good chain called China Camp. Believe it or not, some of the best Chinese food I ever had was in Italy and Bahrain. The Worst -- Hong Kong (too bland and too many unidentified frying objects. One of the funniest things I ever heard on TV was on the great Sanford and Son where Fred complained to a waiter at a chin... Read more

For vegetarians, this is the way to go. Chinese joints usually have a nice selection of vegetable platters. Fortunately for me, the only Chinese place I go to is MSG-free and serves very filling meals.

Chinese food is another cuisine of my liking. One of the things that is good about it is that it is very healthy. My favorite dish is Fried-Shrimp Rice, Chicken Fingers, Dough Balls, with Lobser Sauce spread on the top. It does get old fast and a lot of Chinese food I don't like. Otherwise, Chinese food is awesome.

REAL Chinese food is awesome--try going to dim sum in a Chinatown, it's a great experience. Food may be a bit on the only side for some. Stir-frying is a very healthy way of cooking, and leaves vegetables still crisp yet fully cooked. A great choice if you find a good, reputable restaurant.

a love-hate relationship for me. I guess I'd like it more if I had the chance to experience true Chinese food. not the fast-food Chinese places that are everywhere in my city. Seems they just interchange 3 kinds of glumpy sauce depending on what you order.

i try to go out to eat chinese food at LEAST once a month. i stuff myself real good, too & try and make it last til next time. some of the stuff i enjoy may not be just the healthiest, but generally when i go out to eat, i'm not too worried about getting the healthiest item on the menu, rather i want to try and find the tastiest. i won't tell which dish that is, though, since there's about 20 of 'em!! i love the stuff.

here's my deal: i've been a vegetarian for about 10 years now, and there aren't many types of cuisine that cater to vegetarians while still providing much nutritional value. yes, chinese food can be inclusive of some of the most fat-laden, high carb food out there. but i've never gone into a chinese restaurant and wondered what i can find that's meatless but still has some substance to it. besides that, if you've ever had REAL chinese food-- like what chinese food actually is-- it's absolutely incredible.

Very good for you! Lots of reasonably priced veggies, tofu, fresh fish, fresh noodles, and the dim sum places in San Francisco's Chinatown where I can get a serving of juk (congee, porridge) for less than a buck. And so many restaurants, so little time!
