 | abichara (63) 07/15/2007 | No chance, at least not for the next decade or so. The electorate won't stomach another 4 years of a man named Bush in the White House. Theoretically, Jeb is an ideal candidate for the Republicans: a moderate conservative from a large state with a relatively successful record as governor. But GWB's performance in office is going to be a big issue in 2008, and in that respect, Jeb is going to have a hard time sticking up for his brothers mistakes. The party would be wise to move on for now.

 | irishgit (151) 07/12/2007 | I'd be surprised if the number of Bush's in the White House exceeded two.
And in my opinion, a family hat-trick would be a mistake of monumental proportions that even the calculatedly foolish electorate will not make.

 | Stephen C. Y. Pao (0) 08/08/2006 | Jeb Bush is one of the top-10 conservative governors in www.humanevents.com and one of the conservative governors with a popular job approval in his home state, like Colorado Governor Bill Owens, South Dakota Governor Mike Rounds, etc. But I don't think he is still not really capable to win the presidency against any popular potential Democrat presidential candidate like Hillary Clinton and Al Gore. Although the governors win the president, not senators, but he is not pragmatically charismatic enough like the Bushist Colorado Governor Bill Owens, and he is not well-known enough by other states. At least, he is trailing 3% against Hillary Clinton in the poll. If he wins the presidential candidacy, he has to choose Rudy Giuliani or Condoleeza Rice to be his vice-presidential candidate. He said he is not interested in and going to run for the president in 2008. His father, former president George Bush Sr. told the media his son Jeb is not going to run for the president in 2008 because the timing is wrong. A rumor said his brother President George W. Bush told him to run for the vice-president of John McCain. But I don't think he is going to make John McCain beat Hillary Clinton or Al Gore. And Mitt Romney may be the better vice-presidential candidate for John McCain's presidential candidacy. I am telling Jeb to run for the senate first, not the president. A poll in www.removerepublicans.com showed Jeb Bush is the only one Florida Republican candidate who can beat the 1st-term incumbent U.S. Senator Florida Bill Nelson in 2006 and he had considered to run for the senate against Bill Nelson this year. Too bad he gave up and made Katherine Harris losing to Bill Nelson.

 | kipprabbit (0) 02/22/2005 | I dont think he will run, and I dont think that he should run--not in 2008. He would be a good choice, but in any situation, not a good idea for ANYONE to run immediately following a relative, especially a two-term president. America probably doesnt want three consecutive terms from ANY family.

 | zuchinibut (41) 11/12/2004 | Different from his brother, but that same last name might be too much for some people. However, if the Democrats continue to struggle with the voters, I wouldn't be surprised by another Bush in the White House.

 | texas4cash (0) 11/12/2004 | Bonniebell is right, he would be overshadowed by his father and brother, and Bard too. HA HA.
He is probably better suited for the job than his brother or his dad, but the name will hurt him. Maybe in 12 or 16.
