I used to bite off a stripe at a time. . .is that weird? I still love Candy Corn.

It's a 5 for me, and a 1 for my husband, who I believe is the only person in the entire world who likes Candy Corn. I believe a comedian once made fun of candy corn by saying that ALL of it was made back in the 20's or so, and that the company just goes through dumpsters to retrieve the uneaten masses of the stuff to re-package for the next year. Ha, I don't think that's all that far from the truth! UPDATE: Okay, according to the running count, there are TWO people in the world so far that actually like candy corn: my husband, and IJR. Anyone else? UPDATE 2: To the stripe-at-a-time comments; it must be something weird with you candy-corn-eatin' types . . . my husband does that, too. Yuck.

I'd rather have ACTUAL corn ... with razors ... instead of this rotten junk.

The nostalgia of seeing this colorful Halloween treats is quickly cured by tasting them again.

Does anybody actually eat this stuff? I hated them. Now that I think about it, I'd rather have a Tic Tac.

Not so bad. Sure, it's über-sugary crap, but when I was a kid, I kinda liked it. Better than band-aids or a package of thumbtacks or any of the other stuff on this list by virtue of being edible. (Though you could probably eat pennies if someone said they wanted to see some change in you. .....sorry, I couldn't resist!)

About a 3.5. I can eat a bit of these and then no more. It is funny to see that the day after Halloween, when most stores mark the Halloween intended candy to half off everything goes except for the candy corn. We went past the candy last night and all that was left was the candy corn and it was marked down to 75 percent off. I only gave it a 3.5 because i it is not all that bad tasting, I know worse Halloween treats.

You know I really looked forward to candy corn, you only got it once a year and it just seemed festive of halloween. I always bit the stripes individually, not sure why, just seemed like the thing to do.EDIT: I dunno Numbah, I just think it means we're both really flaky ;)

TO TEXASYANKEE: I always ate my candy corn a stripe at a time. Is this common?

Unpackaged?!?! UPDATE: They must be tiny packages. They are like what, half an inch long?

I've never seen the appeal of this particular kind of candy.
